Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: I used to have google chrome as my search engine

This may happen when you install new freeware software e.t.c. and it installs their affiliated search engine on your browser e.t.c

To change it back to google.com follow these steps
1) Open chrome
2) Click the spanner icon in the top right (settings)
3) Scroll down and click options
4) The options screen should appear, the second to last option is what you need to change.

From here click "Manage search engines" and Google as default

If its the home page or new tab, you can manage all this on the same page.

How to remove ask.com

If you are using Google Chrome then go to the top Right hand corner where you will find 3 black lines. Click on that then go down to setting scroll down to search, when that opens click on whatever search engine you want and that should get rid of Ask.com. I have found that Ask.com is a pain and will take over your computer when you want to use another search engine.

How to get rid of ask?

It is not easy, but possible. The link here, has a step by step solution. After you managed this, please ask someone to set up a normal user account for normal use. Don't work as a Admin yourself, because lots of traps are offered and I have to admix I was fooled too. But never again side I have a normal user account. When I accedentely click the wrong button the computer just says, you need admin rights to install this. And then I wake up.

I want to get rid of "ASK" and set Google as my hopmepage

Here's how you can get rid of ASK toolbar and set Google as you homepage:
1.To uninstall Ask Toolbar program from Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7, click the "Start" button, then click on the "Control Panel" menu option.
If you are using Windows 8, simply drag your mouse pointer to the right edge of the screen, select Search from the list and search for "control panel" .Or you can right-click on a bottom left hot corner (formerly known as the Start button) and select Control Panel from there.
2.When the "Control Panel" window opens click on the "Uninstall a program" option under "Programs" category. This option is shown by the arrow in the image below. If you are using the "Classic View" of the Control Panel, then you would double-click on the "Programs and Features" icon instead.
3.When the "Programs and Features" or the "Uninstall a Program" screen is displayed, scroll through the list of currently installed programs and uninstall Ask Toolbar, Ask Toolbar Updater, Ask Updater and any other recently installed or unknown programs from your computer. That should uninstall Ask toolbar from your computer. You'll also need to remove extensions from your browsers. Refer to this article which gives detailed instructions on how you can remove Ask toolbar from your browser as well as what to do if you can't remove it:
    http://malwaretips.com/blogs/remove-ask-toolbar-and-search/
For setting Google as home page, once Ask toolbar has been removed, just open your browser and paste this link in the address bar:
    http://www.google.com/homepage/

It'll automatically detect the browser you're using and give you instructions on how to set Google as your homepage.
