Power can't turn on?

My sony vaio notebook pcg-v505ecp has the problem with the power.when it turns on, first the battery alarm and ac alarm icon change rapidly. then after several times. the battery won't be recharged anymore and can't turn on anymore even using ac power. i try using my battery in my friend laptop the same model. it's ok. is't the jack ac problem? i 'm not quite sure. try to go to tech and said that mother board faulty. but i can still turn on my note book using my friends full battery?

My sony vaio pcg-k33 shuts off by itself when i turn it on. i think its the video card cause the fan turns on and stays on when i turn the latop on. so maybe its over heating. Please help

Turn the computer off.
Disconnect the AC power.
Remove the battery.
Buy a can of compressed-air, and give your computer a "blow-job", because a layer of dust inside your computer is blocking your heat-radiators, and thus is causing your computer to overheat.

Would any 16volt ac adapter be ok to charge my PCG-VX89 vaio notebook?

you can use any laptop AC adapter DC output-16V and 4A (current). if its jack size natch your laptop DC jack.
if the adapter DC current less than 4A (over 2.5A at least) you should only make the battery charging without laptop turn on!!!
please take a rating let me know how much helped you thanks!

Sony vaio pcg-grt170 when I push the power button, the green light and 2 yellow lights blink one time but the computer will not turn on. I tried taking the battery out, checked the power cord.

Perform these steps and the issue will be resolved if the issue is with the Static charges on the Mother board.

I recommend you use Power Drain procedure by following these steps:

1. Disconnect the AC Adapter.
2. Remove the Battery.
3. Hold the Power button down for 30 seconds to 1 minute.
4. Reconnect the AC adapter and do NOT connect the battery now.
5. Turn on the Notebook power.

Won't stay on

IS THIS WITH BOTH AC CORD AND BATTERY
you probably need a power supply
before you run out and buy one start and press f8 then start in safemode see if the same thing happens
also make sure your AC adapter is connecting with internal connection the internal connection can become loose or bent from constant plugging and unplugging
