SOURCE: kelvinator kd12mm, does not drain water after

There is a float switch inside your dishwasher that is usually to the left and is covered by a plastic piece that you can unscrew. Then take the float switch out and make sure it is clean and clear of all debris, and that it is working smoothly in its place. If its not that, then there is a switch underneath the float that you can only get to by accessing the underneath. To check that switch, you can take a multi-meter with ohm checking on it and see if the switch is operational by applying the leads from your multi-meter to each of the terminals. You should get nothing while depressed and it should ohm out if pressed. It could possibly be reversed, but aslong as you dont have a constant ohm or visa-versa, your okay. There is also a solenoid on the motor itself that you can do this same check on. It opens the flaps to let the water out when the timer calls for it. Last but should be first, make sure your hose that runs from the dishwasher isnt kinked or clogged in anyway. Always disconnect the power supply before doing any electrical. Hope this helps.

Testimonial: "Thanks, this was very helpful, i have done everything you mentioned, and eventually traced the problem to the drainage pipe itself. Thanks a MIL! "

SOURCE: I've got a Kelvinator dishwasher KD12MM bought second hand, the machine goes on but does not pump water. Please help

Possible that the pump has clogged or is jammed with dirt. you will need to remove the pump and clean the pump assembly for a good spray pressure. If this wont work then the pump is faulty and needs to be replaced.Check this link for tips:

I have just reeived a Kelvinator dishwasher KD12WW. I have only a cold water outlet can I still wash with it

I found a site that is important for you to down load the site is ns323666.ip-37-187-156.eu
It is a pdf version of the instruction manual for the dishwasher
I notice that one of the instructions is quote" when using your dishwasher , you should prevent plastic items from contacting the heating element" un quote
most all dishwashers heat their own water above what human hands can stand so from that statement you can use cold water inlet only and the machine will heat it to operating temperature
I got that site by going google and typing in --kelvinator kd12ww dishwasher
then I selected site manual-kelvinator kd12ww dishwasher clicked on that and that address came up with the pdf manual
there are other sites that have parts manuals and heaps of other information
call your local kelvinator service agent and ask them about a heating element

User manual for kelvinator extreme clean KD12WW

Need to check if Rinse Aid is not exhausted in the dispenser. It could also be necessary to increase the flow rate of rinse aid. Also make sure the dishwasher is heating water as some dishwashers use steam to dry. If heater is faulty the steam will not be there.

My KD12mm dishwasher's dial seems to get stuck half way through the cycle and keeps washing for hours, wasting water and electricity. I has the same problem with my old Indesit and got rid of it. Can...

This seems a clear case of the timer program controller ebing faulty. The stepper motor has struck on to a point or the gears are worn out which causes the motor not moving the position.
The only way is look carefully and maybe resetting the stepper motor so that the timer moves.
If not the cost of a new program controller must be cheked.\
Present day electronic processors for programs are highly reliable which must be thought of in your next purchase.

KELVINATOR DISHWASHER

It's look like a water level switch issue. The switch level is usually a diaphragm device with a small clear tube attached between the switch and the bottom of the washer's outer tub. I am not familiar with this specific machine, but if you will open the rear panel you should find it easily. You can either clear any obstruction in the tube or to replace the switch. Good luck !
