Question about Arris 3347 DSL 4-Port Wireless Modem - Router (612572157275)
I recently got a Motorola 3347 modem from craigslist, and when I plug it into the power, all that happens is the 4 Ethernet lights come on and stay solid. No phone line is connected, the power light doesn't come on. Is this normal?

first check your computers internet connection settings.and also check for any updates that could pretain to your modem/or computer.the problem is with your main computer, and not with the router.second check your firewall, make sure the correct port is open to let the traffic in.

Modem light goes RED if No external Ethernet device has been attached and detected OR The Ethernet link is down.
in your case it is going to be the DSL MODEM ....
Second cause could be The WAN interface has been disabled by the firmware.
TO enable it log on to your router's address http://192.168.10.1.
and look for WAN options.
Thanks ,, please let me now it worked or not

This could be a duplex issue. When you log into the belkin does is assign you an IP address? Have you used a ballpoint pen to reset the EMTA since you have connected the router?

Make sure to configure the router according to your ISP settings. I believe you have a DSL connection. That means you need to configure the router using PPPoE

SOURCE: Unable to set up wireless router
Shut down your computer, unplug the cable modem and the switch. Connect all three - computer to switch, switch to modem. Make sure that the ethernet cable between the router and the modem is in the router uplink port and that the computer is plugged into one of the four ports that look alike. Wait 30 seconds - plug in the modem. Wait another 30 seconds, plug in the router, wait another 30 seconds and boot the computer. Open a browser and see if you have internet access. If you still don't, then try to check the browser by typing 192.168.1.1 into the address bar of the browser. That should give you the browser sign in screen. The Linksys default is to leave the user name blank and type admin for the password. That should give you access to the router so you can check the settings. If this doesn't work, document carefully what happens and post again with your results and we'll try to go from there.
