Car runs fine then stalls, starts, stalls, starts, stalls....

I was driving to work, I started out from a traffic light and it stalled, it started right back up, drove half a mile then stalled again. It did this a couple more times with in 2 miles, the last time it died I let it sit for about 3-5 minutes while I called in to work, I then turned it around and drove back home, about 10 miles without a problem. I checked the grounds under hood along with vacuum lines and saw no apparent problems, I pulled gas tank to change gas filter, car has about 190,000 miles, I drove the car around for a little while, it stalled once but started up. I drove it some more and it stalled again, kind of a no spark type thing no power but runs until I put it in neutral. then starts up when I turn the key, while still rolling. I then continued to drive it home with no further problems. no check engine lights, no codes

try haviing your alternator checked advance auto parts can check it while its on the car and the can check the battery too. if thats not it it may stall due to a loose battery connection or a loose ground strap. if it stalls and everything turns of (electrical) it may be a connection or ground strap.

Check the sensors on the throttle body. There is a sensor that controls air to fuel ratio. If that sensor is bad then the car will run and then stall out while in drive. I had the same problem when it was cold outside last winter. If you dont want to dish out the money without knowing if it is that part at fault or not then start the van pop the hood and located the throttle body. Place your hand on the sensors and give them a little shake and then make sure they are plugged in all the way. You could also turn the van off and unhook the sensor clean the connectors and plug it back in. That should do the trick and if it doesnt stall anymore then I would replace those sensors if I was you. One more thing. If your giving the sensors a tug while the car is running and you hear it going to stall you could located the gas pedal cable and give it a rev or two by hand so it doesnt stall out and turn off. By the way. You van isnt over heating at all is it?

then i would replace whats called the hall effect sensor its that black plastic plate you see when you take dist cap off. just pull rotor and lift up the sensor.dist cap is what holds it on.also under the sensor will be a stamped sheet metal piece that looks like the top of a castle wall. make sure its not loose on the shaft.if it is then new dist will be needed

Sounds like you are having a fuel problem with the fuel filter. If you have not had your car serviced in quite awhile i would do so. At least change the fuel filter and check the air filter as well. Hope thias will help you.
