This sounds like a bad battery. If I remember right the AC is active.

SOURCE: Own Peavey Cirrus 5 BXP , Strings are to close to the frets.

If the problem you are having is buzzzing, yes. This height is called the "action" of the bass. You can change either or both the saddle and bridge. I would recommend that you have this examined at a music store to verify that the neck is straight and does not need adjustment too. This is part of normal upkeep for these. Expect an overhaul cost of about $50 if you have it adjusted.

SOURCE: 9v battery wires came loose. peavey 5 string bass

The negative battery terminal will go to a black wire and that will be soldered to one of the volume control cases. That makes the remaining wire easy. The negative terminal pole on the battery is the larger round one.

How can I adjust the neck or bridge so I can ply clear notes. Not enough clearance at the top for the lower strings

If you are unfamiliar with the procedure, you'd be better off taking it into to a local guitar shop for a setup. It can be quite tricky to get it correct, but once it is, you'll be good to go until you change string size.

Older peavy 4 string bass with batteries need wiring shematics

I think posting the wiring schematics is not legal. If it just does not work anymore you could try and look if the battery clip is oxidized and try to clean it.

I have the Peavey Millenium BXP 5 string bass and apparently, at my last gig, I must have plugged into the wrong cord because after that I could not get the bass volume to work. I'm not sure if I blew out...

Here is the contact info you need: Tell them the problem and they will advise you as to whether or not you will be able to repair it yourself. Without troubleshooting it myself I would guess that there is a part blown in the preamp circuit. I don't know for sure but if it involves a surface mount component the circuit board may have to be replaced if there is one.

Volume control of peavey bass guitars

Sorry but your post did not provide enough info. Are you having a problem with the volume control. Do you need a wiring diagram. What model Peavey bass do you have. For instance, the Peavey bass I have has active electronics ans requires a 9 volt transistor radio battery to power them.
