Question about Western Digital My Book Essential Edition (WDG1U5000N) 500 GB Hard Drive
I have tried several programs to recover the deleted files including
PC inspector, they all look for files that I deleted some time ago, but none of them seem to find the files that i deleted recently, I have not over written any thing since the deletion, so i am pretty sure that the data is there, but i dont seem to find a way to get to it.
Maybe some one could help? Some technique relating to FAT table reconstruction?
My first time on here, but.... I assume you're running Windows - if drive spins up, that's good - if it's OS drive and you get no Windows, probably a Master Boot Record (MBR) - if no files or scrambled, likely a FAT issue - each can be repaired through your original WIN CDs. If totally, partially deleted or formatted, you can recover almost anything with GETBACK software. I LUV it, and I think they may still offer a trial. Go to www.runtime.org
Many versions, but you'll know what to do when you see it - you can also find many step-by-step for the Windows Repair options on the net. Good Luck!

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
