My friends bought me a LifeCam VX-5000 for my birthday and I had no problem installing the program but when it asked me to connect the webcam to my laptop (Inspiron 1525), it said that the driver failed to install successfully.
This happened wtih my first webcam, a Logitech Quickcam Pro Deluxe for Notebooks. It worked the first couple of times but a problem came up where I uninstalled it and since then webcams have not worked on my laptop.
I'm sure it's my laptop but I have absolutely no idea how to fix it. I tried everything from uninstalling programs to clean booting my computer.

- Yeah I tried downloading new drivers and etc but that didn't work either. I don't know if it's because I'm doing it wrong or not though.
When I went to the Device Manager, I saw this in the device status of my webcam "Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)"
