First time starting a/c this season, display is lit but no air is blowing. Fan outside is on. Batteries changed, still no air. System is only @ 2 years old. Stat model - TH3110D1008. Thanks.

Set the thermostat FAN setting to FAN ON to verify the fan working.
If it works in the FAN ON position the fan motor is OK and you have a bad fan relay.
If it does not work you should check the fan motor capacitor.
At 2 years old the unit is still under warranty for parts.

Did a top end job put it all back to gether and nothing. i went back checked timing, valve shims , fuel its getiing spark its gott compression but still wont run. Could that mean the cdi is bad?

Good spark? = CDI ok. Check the timing with a timng light. aim it down the inspection hole to see the "T" mark on the fly wheel. if it flashes, and you can't see the 'T' , then your timing is off. If so, check the flywheel position. At top dead center, a few things should be true. 1) your intake and exhasut valves are shut, with .006 clearance on intake, and .010 clearance on exhaust. 2) The "T" mark on the flywheel should be visible and aligned with the notch on the inspection hole. IF your timing is ok, and your spark is good then try spraying starting fluid into the carb. if it fires up when you spray, then you have fuel delivery issues. check float height and check bowl by opening drain screw a bit to see if fuel comes out. if no fuel, then examine float needle, tank petcock, and float height.

After emptying the ice bin on 2 year old side frigidaire, the freezer is OK, but the fresh food side has stopped cooling. Any ideas?

check that the fan in the freezer is running,it circulates the cold air,if it isclose freezer door, open refrig. door lookto the upper left you will see where the cold air enters the refrig compartment and should fill air coming thruough vent this is a motorized unit and they sometimes fail, also check the return air hole located at bottomof refrig.sometimes get blocked by plastic bags etc

Occasionally, cold starting, the engine does not crank. It is almost like a dead battery, but yet the battery checks OK. There is no clicking from the solenoid. After 2 or 3 more tries, the engine turns...

Assuming you have check all the high-amperage connections from the battery to the motor post (and checked the ground for the motor and the battery), you might be able to assume that the motor coils could have a "dirty open", but most likely the brushes are at the end of their lifespan. Try a rebuilt motor. Good luck.

Hello Friend, I have a Dodge Caravan 1997 and in the process of changing out my water pump and timing belt. I am in the stage where I need to open the damper harmonic bolt. Which direction does this bolt...

I have managed to open the harmonic damper bolt. This bolt opens in the counter clockwise rotation. A breaker bar was used with the flywheel locked in place. In order to get to the flywheel, the starter motor was removed to get access. The manual suggest removing the bell housing plate. This takes more effort and one of side engine mount also need removal. I decided to remove the starter motor instead. In order to remove the starter motor, first remove the cables from the starter motor and three mounting bolts. Secure a rod or a screw driver between the flywheel and bell housing through a hole in the flywheel. The size of the size is about 1/2". This hole was visible when the engine is set to TDC (top dead center). There could be more than one hole but I did not try to rotate the engine to find out. Once the rod or the screw driver in place in the flywheel, use the 22mm socket head and breaker bar and undo the harmonic damper bolt counter clockwise (CCW). I believe an impact air gun could do this job as well. The spec on the bolt is 100 ft lbs torque - Hendry

Fan motor not starting or running

you can try "bump testing" the motor by connecting a separate power cord to fan motor wires. ensure no power to anything else first. if it spins, then check back to control board and control panel.
