My pull string wont move on my ryobi x430

Mine seized up and the string wouldn't pull because my girlfriend used it a few times without making sure that the oil was full. I filled the oil well with Marvel Mystery Oil and was able to slowly get the string to move. Eventually the motor became lubricated enough to pull the string with regularity and now the weedeater works perfectly.

Echo trimmer srm-230 pull string to start trimmer is stuck. I try pulling on it and it only comes out about an inch.

The pull string is probably tangled up. There are usually vents which enable you to see into the machines pull string assembly. Loosen the fasteners and pull off the cover exposing the pull string. You can unwind and untangle and then it should recoil perfectly. If that does not work continue to dismantle the pull string assembly because you probably have a broken starter pawl which is located on the back of the pull string assembly.

HI I BOUGHT A 1969 TALKING SERVICE STATION BUT THE PULL STRING IS JAMMED PULLED OUT HOW DO I FIX THIS AND GET IT TO TSLK AGAIN

mcdevito75 here, you may not be able to as the spring on the pull string may have lost it"s tension or the pull string mechanism is just stuck. You may not even be able to get at the mechanism if it"s a sealed unit, if you can get at the mechanism a little penetrating oil may help. Contact the toy manufacturer online or phone for more help.

32cc crafstman weedwhacker (2 yrs old)flooding wont start

Nope, it's not the carb. The plug is wet and probably black as well. Wet plug and lots of smoke means too much oil in the mix which is where the problem lies. Get a compression tester and look at the pressure reading; anything less than 90psi means the piston ring is stuck and needs to be replaced/cleaned.

The string in the spool of the weed eater is stuck. How can I remove the string and how can I avoid this problem in the future? I'm using the pre-cut strings. Thanks

Sounds like one of the loops is over the one being fed out. Does that make sense? I hope so. If one of the windings of string is over another, it makes it hard to unwind. Maybe if you were to put on a glove and really pull on the string, it would start to unwind. Other than that, pull the head and check the string. Good luck...Lee
