Question about Saeco Magic De Luxe Espresso Machine

1 Answer

Steam stops after few seconds and water and temp lights blink

I have an old Saeco Magic Deluxe. When I open steam, the machine works fine for 20 seconds, then steam stops and hot water exits from.
it seems that temperature of steam has become hotter than a limit and the machine stops to create steam: before stream stops, milk seems to be very hot!
Then water (red) and temperature (greeen) light start blinking, steam light turns off and to restart steaming, you have to wait a while, let a little hot water exit from the boiler and wait red light turn off.
Few seconds and steam stops again, so you spend a lot of time to prepare milk and at last it is 80 percent milk and 20 percent hot water (bleahh!!!)

Please help me

My Saceo magic deluxe has issues. no steam or hot water will come out just a loud noise and the water light keeps flashing red but the tank is full. Please help

Machine could be scaled up. clean the steam and coffee outlets then descale whole system.Other possible causes could be a faulty pressure pump.

Saeco Magic Deluxe resets itself before completing brew cycle

Hi Try reprogramming the machine. Push and hold the button for the coffee you want, but hold it all the way through the process. Don't release the button until you get the amount of coffee you want for that button, then release the button. That should get you the same amount next time. You can do this for each coffee button. If that doesn't fix it, then you might need a new flow meter.

Steam peters out after 20-30 seconds

The only thing that I can think of (not being able to see the machine) is the Parnello. Reason; steam is comming out faster than the element can heat it up. At some point it has to be restricted, for a nice uninterrupted flow.

How do I descale the saeco magic deluxe coffee machine?

Hi,

Try this:

Standard descaling
Switch off the machine.
Pour a descaling product into the water tank.
Switch the machine on to the programming mode(see below). Place a large container under the steam/hot water dispensing tube and open the steam/hot water knob slowly, turning it counterclockwise.
Turn on the machine by pressing the main switch and let the descaling product flow out of the dispensing tube for approx. 1 min.
Close the knob again.
Turn off the machine with the main switch and let the solution take effect for approx. 5 minutes.
Repeat this procedure two or three times, to allow all of the descaling product in the water tank to flow out of the dispensing tube.
As soon as descaling has been carried out, rinse the tank thoroughly and fill it with fresh water.
Switch on the machine and let fresh water (approx. 2 l) flow out of the steam/hot water dispensing tube in order to rinse away residue.
The machine is now ready for operation.

When the machine is on, the warning light switches off automatically, by pressing the steam selection button for at least 5 seconds.

To enter the programming mode, turn the machine
off with the main switch.
Press steam , espresso coffee and the
main switch at the same time.

Release the buttons.

Hope this will help you.

Water light keeps blinking and won't brew coffee?

it sounds like either the pump is giving out or the flowmeter.

since it is releasing water from teh steam valve, i'd aim more for the flowmeter giving out.

Not sure if saeco sells them to the public. Usually gets sent out for repair. Repair will run ya 100-150 usually.

Saeco Magic Deluxe flashing water light, & not draining

The pump could be out or it could just need primed. Saeco sells a cheap hand pump that you insert into the receiver and force water into the system while the pump is pumping. This will often prime the pump and get things going. Call 1 800 933 7876 and tell one of the customer service reps you need a priming pump.
