It appears your timer/main controller/CCU has failed in this instance.

For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...

FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.

PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.
RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.

If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.

Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.

If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.

Thanks for using FixYa - a 4 THUMBS rating is appreciated for answering your FREE question!!!!

Ge washing machine blows fuses when start spin cycle

You may have a frozen bearing or some other mechanical fault that prevents the tub from spinning. This overloads the motor.

Another possibility is a welded contact in the timer that shorts the line instead of reversing the voltage on the motor.

Does not drain and spin

It sounds as if you have a defective timer control. Try operating the washer on a different cycle, if it spins on these cycles the mechanical workings are fine it's an electrical switching problem in the timer.

Hoover 600MB Top Loader, Won't Spin

I have the same problem. Just started missing the spin cycles and now I need to find which part to replace.
So far I think it could be: Aged contacts in the Timer, a faulty spin/no spin switch, or something to do with the brake/release mechanisms etc. ..I do know that the problem is electrical because everytime the motor starts the spin works fine; therefore eliminating in my opinion, the mechanical gearbox bits as a cause.

Hotpoint aquarius 1200 washer dryer

the timer consists of a rectangular bakelite piece with a bunch of spade [push-on] terminals. On this timer assembly is a small motor that looks like it came out of an electric clock. It is this thing that operates the washer/dryer cycles. through a series of cams inside the assembly it either makes or breaks contacts. if you replace this motor it may solve the problem or at least tell you if the rest of the timer assembly is good or not. anyway, replacing this motor is cheaper than the whole timer which costs about $130.
