Internet Connection won't work

I've been using this router for 1 year now and i haven't had a single problem with it until this morning. Type Of Connection : Dynamic IP Network Adapter : VIA RHINE II 10/100 OS: Windows XP Professional SP3 Processor: Intel Dual Core E5200 2.5x2Ghz Memory: 2GB Kingston DDR2 800Mhz HDD: 160GB SATA2 Seagate
DirectX: 9.0c March 2009 update
In the status page it says that the DHCP in connected, so I tried releasing and then renewing it again, still it doesn't work. I even tried to ping both my PC's if they reach each other, And LAN connection is fine it doesn't have any problems on File and Printer Sharing and no packet loss. So I tried going to the command prompt and renew my DNS there, still wont work. So I checked the UTP cables using a Cable Tester to check if theres no problems. there is no problem at all everythings working fine. So I tried resetting the router to its Factory settings. Then I configured it again. Still wont work. Then I tried connecting the modem directly to my PC voila! i can access the internet. Then i said WTH is going on!?. I didnt even change any settings last night. So I really don't know what caused this.

I turned my computer on in the morning and I had no internet access. Comcast reset modem and had me check on the computer's connection to the internet and all was well. So we had to link the CPU...

Connect a PC hardwired to the router. Then open your browser and type in 192.168.0.1 on the address bar to open the interface of the router. Use "admin" for the username and password  to log in. Then click on WAN setup or Internet setup. Make sure that your set to Dynamic IP (DHCP) so that your router can obtain an IP address automatically. You can also check the LAN setup to make sure that the DHCP server is enabled. These settings are the ones that manages your DNS settings.

Hello, i have the dsl 2640u connected to a cable (wifi) so i have all the access to the internet but my connection is opened and it won't work to get to the configuration page, pleaaaaaaaase help

Remember to always first consult your manual which I've located for you here.

Now. If you can't reach the config page at the router's network address (which is usually 192.68.1.1 or 192.168.0.1) the login for the admin page should come up. If you haven't changed the router's default password then the one in the manual I linked to should work.

If none of this works and you can't log into it then you have to reset by finding the the little tiny reset button on the back. Sometimes you need a pen or pencil to press this button in. Hold it for 30 seconds to a minute and it should go back to factory defaults.

You will need to set up your router again after this.

After years of dial up, I've acquired a HughesNet

According to the manual, you can purchase any wireless router (manual calls the router "air base")

I would advise a D-link or a Linksys router.

Can not connect with my home computer.Router and modem working, just won,t connect

Configure the Router 1. Step 1
Open your web browser, type " http://192.168.1.1/ " into the address bar and hit "Enter."
2. Step 2
Use "Admin" as the username in the pop-up box and leave the password blank.
3. Step 3
Connect to the Internet and click on "Internet Setup."
4. Step 4
Select your connection type from the drop-down menu. Choose "DHCP" for cable modems or "PPPoE" for most DSL modems. If you are unsure of these options, check with your ISP.
5. Step 5
Set a service set identifier (SSID) to identify the router and change the password.
6. Step 6
Encrypt your wireless connection using a Wireless Encryption Protocol (WEP) key. Under the "Wireless Security" option, enter a passphrase and click "Generate." This will generate a password which will need to be used by any client connecting to your router.

Router Suddenly stopped working...?

try power cycling your network (turn off all of the hardware)
First turn off the computer,
second, the router;
lastly the router (wgr614).

Now, turn the hardware in this order:
  1. Turn on Modem. Wait 2 minutes.
  2. Turn on Router (wgr614). wait 1 minute.
  3. Now turn on the Computer(s).
this should refresh your internet connection. If not, check your routers settings for any wrong info.
to access your router's homepage, type this (http://www.routerlogin.net) into Internet Explorer.

Wired dynex router suddenly started interfering with my internet connection.

Verify your router is connected to a standard grounded outlet. Check that the Internet cable is connected to the WAN port on your router, and check the WAN light on the front of your router is illuminated. Check that the LAN lights are on.
Power cycle your router by unplugging the DSL/Cable Modem from the power, then unplug the router and power off your computers. Then, plug in the DSL/Cable Modem to the wall and wait until all the lights are on and none of them are blinking. Power on the DX-E401 router and wait until all the lights are on. Now, power on one computer and verify the Internet connection.
You can verify your router is working properly by sending an echo request to it and verifying the response you get.
If you are a Windows user go to Start, select the Run option and in the dialog box type in CMD. Once there, type in ping 192.168.0.1 and you should get 0% loss as a response.
If these do not help, the router is likely to have malfunctioned, requiring repair or replacement.
