Why does my saturn sound so bad when idles?

if the car is loud/noisy there is a hole in the exhaust system and this will cause a rough idle because of a loss of back pressure and the vales will not open and close properly resulting in the rough idle it also will make the engine run hotter and this will cause your spark plug gaps to increase and the spark will be less than needed to ignite the fuel in the cylinder for proper combustion which will result in poor gas mileage and lack of power is the check engine light on?

Check your fuel system, especially your fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator.

V70 volvo rough start in morning

Sounds like you may need to change your fuel filter. A dirty fuel filter will make it take a bit to make sufficient fuel pressure which will cause a rough idle or low power until it has run long enough to build up proper fuel pressure.

Have fuel pump out put checked lack of proper fuel pressure can cause a lean condition and would ultimately lead to spark knock the noise you are most likely speaking of

My engine shakes with smell of rooten egg

if it shakes and smells of rotten eggs, then the catylitic convertor is bad. driveability symtoms are--- lack of power, drop in fuel economy, lack of high speed power, rough idle or stalling are the symtoms of excessive back pressure. due to a plugged up convertor. it should be diagnosed by a mechanic to verify this.

Had transmssion work recently. They put in a new speed sensor. Well...now a month or two latwr when i start the car she idles very rough and when i press the gass it feels like i don't have alot of power...

It sounds fuel related the fact that it idles rough and you lack power causes you to press the accelerator pedal more to to get the car to go which in turn causes the transmission to stay in 1st and 2nd gear longer bringing up the rpm's. The problem could be a bad fuel pump not allowing proper fuel pressure to reach the injectors This could also be caused by a bad fuel pressure regulator valve or a bad fuel filter all of these could cause low fuel pressure. It could also be a bad fuel injector or a throttle position sensor (TPS) could also be a bad (PCV) I would suggest having the fuel pressure tested first as I dont think your problem is related to the transmission repair you had done.

2001 chevy citation, the a/c just quit working. A hissing sound was heard but the system shows it charged. Also now when the a/c is turned on the car engine runs rough and the engine runs hot, yet has...

You may have a faulty high/low pressure control switch which is not cutting compressor function due to low pressure of refrigerant in the system. The hissing sound is caused by a lack of refrigerant passing through the expansion valve. The other thought I have is that the thermostatic expansion valve or your reciever drier may be clogged.
