How do you retrofit a 4 pin D104 to a 2 pin model?

A two pin does not use a Push To Talk circuit so one wire you want is the Audio wire and the other is the ground wire.

Jet sound equalizer js 214 wire color code

Black wire is ground, Red with 5a fuse is hot. Green/black is L Ground BTL, Grey /black is right ground BTL, the RCAs are left and right low level inputs. Then there is the 5 pin connector. It has a red wire for +12v, two black wires for input grounds, a green wire for left Hi input and a gray wire for right high input. If you install using traditional common ground high level, then you don't used the two BTL wires. Just connect the wires from your 5 pin connctor. If you use the low level RCAs for inputs, then you only need to connect the red and black from your 5 pin connector.(Plus the main red and black) Make sure the switched on the bottom of your EQ are set correctly. COM for common ground and LOW for RCA input or High for Green/Gray wire input. If you are using a floating ground the select BTL and connect the two BTL wires to the floating grounds of your stereo. There is also a line input adjuster so you can adjust your input sensitivity to match your reciever. I have the owners manual if you have any other questions.

What speaker componets do need to buy?

  • 1000W max power
  • 165W x 2, 20Hz - 20kHz, @ 0.04% THD + N, at 4 Ohms
  • 200W x 2, 20 - 20kHz, @ 0.15% THD + N, at 2 Ohms
  • 400W x 1, 20Hz - 20kHz, @ 0.1% THD + N, at 4 Ohms
  • OTL (Output Transformerless) circuit
  • Pulse power supply
  • Line & High Level Inputs
  • .3-6V Level Adjustment Control (RCA Pin Jacks) 1.2-12V (High Level Input)
  • 80 Hz, -18dB/octave Low Pass Filter Switch
And i would say that the best use of this amplifier would be for sub-woofers.

PINs for high level input

Hello gmb_66,

You did not specify exactly which Jensen amp you have. None of the Jensen PowerPlus series I found had high-level inputs. You can go here and select your amp to download the manual. They should also have the connector for speaker inputs.

Most amps that have both high-level and RCA inputs allow you to use one or the other, but not both at the same time. If your head unit has RCA ourputs, those would be the ones to use, because they generally provide a cleaner signal to the amp with less noise.

Hope this helps.

I need a pin out for a Vertex 5500 Mobile Radio Accessory Jack.

I found this info at: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/737199/Vertex-Standard-Vx-5500l.html?page=12#manual
It's easier to read it there.

DSUB 25-P
Pin 13: TXDI
[Digital Input for DATA Communications]
TX Hi-speed Data Input Type (jumper JP2005).
Input level 800 mV/600 Ohms, Max.input 1.2V
Tx Low-speed Data input Type ( Jumper
JP2006). Input level 40 mV/600-Ohms
If the Jumper setting is "Low-speed Data" (JP2006
jumpered), this port is usable in the AUDIO
(300~3000 Hz) range.
If the jumper setting is "HI-speed Data" (JP2005
jumpered), this port is usable for 9600 bps DATA
communications, because the filter and limiter are
not engaged in the Audio line.
Pin 14: DC OUT
[13.4 V/5 V DC Output]
Switched 13.8V output for supplying power to
an accessory (jumper JP2008).
Switched and regulated DC 5.0V output for
supplying power to an accessory (jumper
JP2007).
Maximum output current is 200 mA
Pin 15: IGN
[Ignition Sense feature]
The VX-5500 may automatically be switched to
the STAND-BY mode when the vehicle's igni-tion
key is turned on.
Maximum current is 20 mA.
This feature is only enabled on transceivers con-
figured for Dual Deck operation.
Ignition 13.8V
Pin 16: NC
[NO connection]
A
IN
CCESSORY
DSUB 25-Pin
Operating Manual Reprint
C
ONNECTOR
Pin 17: RX DO
[Digital Output for DATA Communications]
RX Hi-speed Data Output Type (jumper
JP2003). output level 600 mV/10k Ohms
RX Low-speed Data Output Type (jumper
JP2004). output level 200 mV/600 Ohms
If the Jumper setting is "Low-speed Data" (JP2004
jumpered), this port is usable in the AUDIO
(300~3000 Hz) range.
If the jumper setting is "HI-speed Data" (JP2003
jumpered), this port is usable for 9600 bps DATA
communications, because the filter and limiter are
not engaged in the Audio line.
Pin 18: E
[GND]
Ground for all logic levels and power supply re-
turn.
Pins 19, 20, 21, & 22: DSUB 19, DSUB 20, DSUB 21
and DSUB 22
LOGIC level (+5V / 0V) output.
The logic output appears at these pins when the
front panel's PF key is turned on.
The possible programming features (use CE49)
are illustrated below.
If the HA feature is assigned to these ports, a cur-
rent amplifier must be connected between the
Horn circuit and the port.
None/A PORT/B PORT/C PORT/D PORT/E
PORT/HA PORT
Pin 23: EXT SQL
[Squelch Signal Output]
Open collector output. Max. sink current 10 mA.
A Signal is present (Squelch is open): Level High
No Signal is present (Squelch is closed): Open
When you connect the solder jumper on JP2002,
this port changes to PULL UP (5 V) output.
This status can be changed by CE49 programmer.
Pin 24: SP MUTE
[Speaker Mute Output]
Open collector output.
External Speaker mute on: Level High
External Speaker mute off: Open
Pin 25: E
[GND]
Chassis ground.

Car amp high input pinout

With a 4-pin connector - from left, facing the side of amp with RCAs and high level input:

Left speaker + input, Left speaker - input, right speaker - input, right speaker + input

With 5-pin connector - same as above, except center pin goes to ground and 2 right side pins are for right speaker.

High Input Pin in?

If you're just using the amp for subs just use the low level RCA outputs and cables from the deck to the amp. If your deck doesn't have the outputs, then you'll need to buy a high level cable. Check the website of the amp manufacturer and the deck manufacturer and find a cable that works with both. If they don't sell it direct, then get the product # for it and search around online audio suppliers for it, or bring the deck and amp to your local audio store and they should be able to get you a cable that works.
