SOURCE: I need to replace my table saw switch assembly

I am not getting either # from sears parts. I deal in Craftsman Belt drive table saw parts. I should have a switch that would work for you. Can you send a picture? jimatcavanaungh@cs.com

Switch went out on sears table saw

Should be an easy fix. Call a Sears parts store near you or visit their parts direct website.

The switch should only be a few wires so just make sure that you wire it up the same way.

As a sidenote most power equipment switches are now required to cut power to the motor upon a power failure. If your switch did not do this then it may no longer be available. Should a updated switch not be available through Sears try Grizzly.com they make a universal switch for both 110v or 220v saws.

I have recently replaced my 29 year old craftsman 10" table saw with a new switch. In trying to turn it on, the motor hummed, slightly oscilated and tripped out the wall breaker. I checked the Sears parts...

You may find a replacement motor on ebay. I deal in Craftsman Belt drive table saws, yours looks to be a direct drive. Sorry I wouldn't be much help with those, Jim

Motor has started t0 smoke and trips circuit breaker

On the motors I deal with there is a series of numbers that identify the shaft size, hp and all other requirements. I would try and contact a local Grainger and see if they can help, if not try in the yellow pages for a motor repair shop in your area and sometimes they can get you one. Good luck
