Memory card is locked

Hi,

what kind of Memory card is that SD/Micro SD? or what so ever, normally all MMC have lock option on it, try following these steps:

  • take out the memory card look on the left hand side of it and it might say in little letters lock and there's a little thing that moves up and down and then move it up.
  • The switch / notch works in same way as the notches on compact audio cassettes and videotape cassette tapes or floppy disks. A closed or covered notch is writable, while an open notch (or removed tab) is protected. If the switch becomes broken or falls off then the card will become a write-protected ROM card and no longer be writable. A possible troubleshooting solution would be to apply tape over the notched area (avoiding the connectors and the other notch) to configure the card in a permanent writable state."

Double Click My Computer to see if you can see the removable drive. If its not there, right click my computer, manage, disk management. Look for a drive without a drive letter. Right click the drive, click on "change drive letter and parts", click on add. Choose a drive letter and click ok or apply as the case may be to get your pc to recognize your external drive.

I have a Toshiba Satellite with windows vista, and it no longer recognizes my dvd/cd rom drive. The drive is a Pioneer and the computer gives me a error 10 and says that it is no longer in the same place....

Go to control panel and click on the Cd/DVDs drive icon and see which letter is assigned to it. It could be F, G, H, etc., but f you type the correct drive letter it will access it.

Your TV is nearly 10 years old. Over a period of time, the Picture tube has become weak! (Technically, the Electron Emmissions from the Electron Heater Element has become reduced) Permanent solution is to replace it, but the cost will be prohibitive. Best is to get a new TV. Otherwise, take it into a Technician Shop, who will recondition it for a modest fee.
