When you disengage it you need to turn the hand wheel 1 full rotation after moving switch to re engage it

my husband took a very thin stainless steel wire and very carefully put it through th eloop and the thread came out the eother end and and I could see how bunched up it was inside.
I hope this will help others

If your lower looper is not catching the needle thread it needs to be timed by an experienced technician. Not for the faint of heart or one without a service manual.
