Question about HP Laserjet Pro 400 Mfp M425dn Multifunction Laser Printer
My manual says error means that an incompatible DIMM is installed. I do not know where the DIMM is located on my printer. HP did not say what is the correct DIMM to install. Thank you, Kathleen

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

Yes...if you remove the jet direct card and your error goes away, be sure it is the jet direct card. If it says 600, or 610 on it, those cards had a lot of problems.
You can buy these rebuilt very resonably.

It would not surprice me if you have a defective formatter board. This is a very commen problem with this machine. Officialy you have to replace the formatterboard but there is also an other way to fix it. Put the formatterboard in to a preheated oven 190 degrees Celcius (350 fahrenheit) for 8 minutes. 8 out of 10 times it works fine fine and the machine is up and running. If this does not work you still can replace the formatterboard.
