Question about Computers & Internet
I have a Sony Vaio laptop. Took it yesterday to the computer repair shop and was told it is in good shape no viruses or malware. Today it popped up a window that said to backup the computer and call customer care because the c: drive/ hard drive was failing and that I need to have it replaced or repaired. Now the fan is not coming on when it overheats. I just need to know how to turn the fan on manually. I know I should know how to do this and I do most of the time, but cant for the life of me remember how to do this right now as simple as it may seem. Help,Thanks.

I had the same problem with my Vaio, and I called in Sony Support and they called in a technician who came to my house in 2 days! Apparantly Sony got a batch of defective fans and if you are still under warranty they will replace it for free. Good luck!
