Well, im having the same exact problem. I recomend that you not waste your time to find troubleshooting on the internet because there is none. Just call their technical support at 580-272-0035 because they are probably the only people who can help you. (they are closed for the holidays so call monday)

Good morning, afternoon, evening or night; whatever time of day you are viewing this solution post. Thank you for choosing me to give my opinion about your situation. So what you are saying is that one month ago you bought a Coby MP828 MP4 player, but wanted to upgrade the memory, so you bought an 8GB Micro SD card. You can transfer music properly, but can't access files from the media player. Your memory device is shown but you can't create a playlist? Well Faizal, we need to first troubleshoot where the root of the problem is coming from, then find a way to solve it. I researched your device's technical specifications and have come up with some possible causes to the problem. The first possible cause could be the type of SD card you are using; the second possible cause is the type of file format you are using to save your files. I compared the Micro SD card and the Mini SD card and the differences between the two do not affect its compatability to the device, so it looks like you can use either one. You could obtain a mini SD card to see if that does the trick, but I don't think it'll make a difference. So it must be the type of file format you are using. The Coby MP828 MP4 player supports MP3, WAV, FLAC, ACC & WMA audio formats. If you are using something different than the formats shown above, that may be the reason why you can't upload your files. Another possible reason could be firmware or software. Your device doesn't offer any firmware updates, but you could try re-installing the Coby Media Manager software to see if that makes a difference. Since you wanted my opinion, I think the second possible cause (that being the file format) is why you can't make a playlist. I don't really know what else to offer you, but I hope this solution helps.

How do i add music to my phone without my cd the cd that came with the phone.

HI Griggskentor do you have a SD card. You will need the micro version. Plug that into a memory card reader. Next you will plug the reader into your usb port. You we will use your computer as a cd player. You can copy all the cds on to a file and copy the file on the micro SD card. This is the easiest way to get music on your phone. The SD card is can hold both pics and music the largest SD card you may want for this phone is 8GB.

Bought 2 gig sd card to update my sylvania 7"smart book synet07526 like recomened sd card does not show up brand new scan disk sd card whats up

First of all, you must be sure that the SD card is formatted with the proper formatting as http://digitalgadgets.com/netbooks/7-in-netbook.htm indicates to be FAT 32. Then you have to down load the indicated file and unzip the file to expose a file called script in the root directory of the SD card. All of this has to be done on another computer with an unzip program installed. Then you place the properly fixed SD card in your SYNET07526, that card goes in upside down!, then you turn on your SYNET07526, and away you go. How can you import pictures in inbox on cell phone to the microchip SD 2gb inserted in phone?

Micro SD cards for cell phones are now costing less and are holding more memory. 4GB SD cards can hold an estimated 1000 songs, over 13,000 images, or 22 hours of video individually. 2GB memory cards hold roughly half those estimates and 8GB SD cards would hold double. So if your cell phonemag-glass_10x10.gif has a SD card slot learn how to utilize this expandable memory option on your device. Follow these steps and you will soon be enjoying your music, pictures, and video on your phone!
  1. Insert your SD memory card adaptor (with micro SD card inserted) into your SD Card drive on your computer. This should open a "Secure Digital Storage Device" or similar window. If not, go to "My Computer" to locate your SD card and open it.
  2. Step 2 To transfer picture files to your SD memory card, open the folder or file that your pictures are stored on. Simply click and drag a file or multiple files and drop them into your SD Card window or folder. You can also copy a picture and then paste it to the SD Card.
  3. Step 3 To transfer music files to your SD memory card, open your "My Music" folder. Select the folder where you are going to get the music from (Itunes, Yahoo Music...). Click, drag, and drop the files into the SD Card window or copy and paste them in.
  4. Step 4 To transfer video files to your SD memory card, open your "My Videos" folder. Select the folder where you are going to get the video from. Click, drag, and drop the files into the SD Card window or copy and paste them in.
  5. Step 5 Take out the SD memory card adaptor from its drive. Remove the Micro SD card (small chip for your phone) and insert it into the SD Card drive on your Blackberry, IPhone, or other compatible cell phone.
  6. Step 6 Go to your media, picture, or music folder in your cell phonesmag-glass_10x10.gif menu. Select which item you are looking for and your files will appear!

format your sd card using your treo 680. then you insert your sd card to your laptop or into a card reader so you can transfer music files from your computer. create a folder to the main directory of your sd card and then rename it to "AUDIO". you may now save music files to that folder.
you can now play music files to your treo 680.

EnV2 does not recognize MP3 files on micro SD card

This was tricky, but I was able to get MP3 files recognized on my daugter's phone.

First, the MicroSD card needs to be formatted by the phone. The phone requres a special directory structure to be created. You may be able to do this manually, but I did it by letting the phone initialize the card. To do this, insert the MicroSD card. Make sure you push it all the way in.

Go to Menu 9 Settings and Tools. Then menu 9 Memory. Then menu 3 Card Memory. The phone should recognize the card and initialize it by creating the special directories for My Music, My Videos, My Sounds, etc.

Then put the card into your PC and copy your MP3 files to the My Music directory on the card. I could not get the phone to recognize sub folders, so make sure you copy everything directly to the My Music directory and not the one under it.

Now the card is ready, you have to tell the phone to use your card memory and not its internal memory for these items. Go to Menu 9 Settings and Tools. Then menu 9 Memory. Then menu 1 Save Options. Pick Pictures, Video, and Sounds and set the phone to use Card memory for each.

Now you can import the music into the music player on the phone. Go to menu 5 Media Center. Menu 1 Music & tones. Menu 4 My Music. The music player should then Import yhour music into the player and it should now be playable.

(I think these accurately reflect what I did)

You can also go to 9 Settings, 9 Memory, 3 Card Memory, 4 My Music to view your music.

HP IPAQ POCKET PC

1st approach (Quick one!)

1. Soft reset your device
2. make a backup copy of the folder \SD-MMCard\MSMETADATA if exists.
3. delete the folder \SD-MMCard\MSMETADATA.
4. Soft reset your device once again.

2nd approach (Long one!)

If 1st approach did not work, restore the MSMETADATA folder and try the following:

Step Zero: BACKUP
- Make a full backup of your device (including storage cards). If you don't like to do a full backup keep at least a backup of all files and folders we are going to delete as indicated below:

Step One
-In the main device directory delete the file WMPInfo.xml
-Delete the \Application Data\Microsoft\Media Player\ directory and all of
the files in it including the WMDRM folder.
-Delete the \Music folder

Step Two
-Go to your SD card main directory and delete the file WMPInfo.xml
-Delete the folder \SD-MMCard\MSMETADATA
-Delete the folder \SD-MMCard\WMDRM
-Delete the folder \SD-MMCard\Music

Step Three
-Repeat step two for any other storage cards.

Step Four
-Refresh devices in WMP and the storages card should show up in the left tab
and in the sync window you can click "Next Device"

Hope this helps...
