Question about Samsung Heating & Cooling
Turned on A/C today for the first time this season, and it started running, but when I hit the cool button, it stopped running and I have not been able to get it to turn on since. How do I reset or re- program the start cycle?
Check the fuse located in the disconnect box located on or near the unit. Make sure you trip the circuit breaker before you open the disconnect. The fuses are in the disconnect box and usually situated in a pull out block. The fuses should read zero ohms resistance on meter. If you don't have a meter take it to hardware store. If the fuses are bad, verify that the max fuse size rating on the nameplate of unit and the fuse rating are the same. If the fuses blow again then you have a problem with the condensor unit. If the fuses are not blown then the problem lies within the unit. Depending on how old it is, you may or may not have trouble codes blinking an LED in the control panel. Either way you will need to call a technician.
