Re: My e280 has 8gb but only 2.5gb shows with nothing on...

Sounds like you may have some corrupt music on the device.

Try formatting the device thru My Computer.

My Computer>Device Name (e280)>Right Click and select FORMAT.

This will erase everything and you should see all of your space available again.

Best of Luck.

Hi there ! I've connected my Philips PSS-110 with my computer, I tried to delete the songs that were on it , and I couldn't see them , so I formatted the Philips PSS. After that I transfered some mp3-s...

Looks like the player's functions have been deranged after it's been formatted.
Upgrade the firmware by using the PSS Device Manager.
Go to the support site for downloading and installing this device manager onto your computer.
To get to the download for the firmware upgrade
open the link in a new page and
accept the End User License Agreement ( EULA )

Install the upgrade onto your computer and follow the steps.

My GC820 is not working

The firmware does not need to be updated. After a mode is selected by moving the mode slider switch left or right then depress that same mode slider switch like a button. When the mode switch is used to change a mode but one does not press it in to select it, that is when the play button changes colors.

No longer seen by any computer

For me, having upgraded Windows Media Player to version 11 caused the problem you are experiencing. Find a computer with Windows Media Player Version 10, then use iRiver's firmware update tool to install new firmware (version 1.77), then your T10 will work fine even with Media Player Version 11.

Not enough spacE!

What i would recommend you go to do is to format your device using the windows media player1.gif and then do a firmware upgrade on the device..the problem you are experiencing right now is because your firmware is corrupted..once you do that should be able to use your device without any problems...
To format your device using windows media1.gif player//

Assuming that you are running windows media player1.gif 11

Go to your sync tab and right click on the device and hit format..
once the format is completed get the firmware upgrade for the device...
just follow the link to get the firmware upgrade

**Please rate accordingly..**

Thank you

I tried to upgrade my firmware now it gives me the Rescue Mode Screen

I had the same problem while upgrating the firmware. I asked CREATIVE and they told me to reinstall the Windows Medial Player 11. I upgrated the firmware again and now it runs.
