It sounds like the Operating system was not loaded right or the solid state hard drive is bad. Contact Lenovo they will walk you through it and get you back up and running

When laptop says no bootable device

re-seat hard drive and check settings for boot devices in bios.
run ibm diagnostics and see if it is seeing the hard drive . if it is run the hard drive tests if they pass then you probably have misconfigured the bios settings somehow. if the hard drive is not found or fails the tests then im afraid your going to have to look in to an exspensive data reclamation service, your best bet there is go to the hard drive manufacturer or even ibm itself.

Lenovo laptop is not able to start since it tells that no bootable connections - insert bootable and press any key

Hi,

Follow these steps below.

1. Turn the computer on.
2. Keep tapping F12 after pressing the power button.
3. Advance Boot Menu will come up.
4. Using the arrow keys, select HDD as the device to boot from.
5. Press Enter.
6. If the computer boots up normally, we fixed the issue.

If not, it means that the computer no longer detects the HDD. It needs to be reseated and after reseating the HDD it should boot up normally. If still the computer cannot boot, then, replace the HDD as it already has gone bad.

Unable to open BIOS Setup

Are you trying to change the boot up drives so that the CD boots up first so you can do a repair or reinstall Windows?

Try F2

You can select from a list of bootable devices by pressing F12

Lenovo C100 will not boot to bootable CD

Hello brush71, it most likely is.
I suggest going to BIOS and trying to enable the cd drive.
If not possible, perhaps there is a hardware failure.
As you've described a problem with the Hard-Drive as well, I would suggest, if warranty is still applicable, to turn to your nearest Lenovo lab and have the computer fixed.
