This is almost for sure just a connection that came out when moving or during shipping. Pull the back, off and look for some wires just hanging. Most likely it is an input.

How to turn off mute from receiver

I can't find a mute button on your receiver, but there are a few things that can avoid getting sound to your speakers.
Before trying anything, please turn the volume knob down to a very low volume. It the amp is set to a high output and the speakers get everything with a bang, they could be damaged seriously.
The amp can manage to sets of speakers. A and B. The can be switched on separately, both or non. Make sure the group you connected the speakers to is engaged, or to test, switch on both.
Then there is the headphone plug. If a plug is in there, it will kill all sound going to the speakers. Also when the contacts in the socket are oxidised, this can cause no sound coming through.
So if you have a sound input, on port 1, a CD player, and you select CD. You should hear sound coming out of the speakers if you select A and B. Eventually you can press in a headphone in to listen if there is sound in the amp.
Oops I just found another thing. You can connect / disconnect pre and power amps on the back of the amplifier. Look on the part I add here from the manual and check if the bridge is in.

Toshiba laptop Internal speakers loss of sound while playing games and watching videos .Sound first 10-15min then no sound.only way to get sound back by going into sound settings and disable speake

Could be an audio driver issue. Does the sound work okay if you plug in external speakers or headphones? If problem persists with headphones/external speaker
Boot into safe mode (F8 on windows restart)
Select Safe Mode
When windows loads (it will take longer than usual).
Control Panel > System Properties> Device Manager > Delete/ Uninstall your audio drivers, reboot your machine - audio should work now.

Trying to work out a sound issue. Tried the toothpick and blowing into the port with no luck. I can view the mute and sound controls but there is no output at all, my system preferences have blocked...

It being in Safe mode is not the issue, the issue is the port is still reading as if headphones are plugged in. But to be sure, plug a pair in to test if there is sound. If so then patiently using something non metallic or a headphone jack, pressing it in and out will eventually get the port to disengage the headphones and you'll have sound again.

Suddenly there is no sound in the speaker but headphone works fine..laptop is Lenovo B575

If the head phone jack works its more likely to be the problem, if you use the headphone jack a lot the connections inside it can get worn or bent out of shape--engaging the headphone jack should shut the speakers in the unit off.

Other possible reason is a bad speaker or connections.

Sound won't work on my Disney dvd/tv combo

Either the speaker is bad or broken wire OR more likely the headphone jack is the issue---when jack comes out it lets a leaf in the socket engage the speaker back----when used a lot the jack causes no sound.

My laptop have no sound

Check for volume control to see if muted or on low volume.
If still not working, check if there is any other audio peripheral connected, like headphones, speakers, or bluetooth headphones which may take over the audio if still connected.
Have you tried restarting the computer? Not hibernating or in sleep mode
Otherwise sound driver might be an issue. Reinstalling the driver may fix the problem.
If all fails, it can be that the sound card or speaker might have failed.

Do I need a Sound Card to use these speakers on my laptop or can I use a Headphone & Speaker Splitter and run them through my headphone socket?

You generally need a 5.1 (or more) sound output from your computer but since that is a laptop I doubt its 5.1(it should be stereo), hence it will work in stereo mode even if you connect it to a splitter. However the good thing is that it will WORK!

Sound still appear at speaker even when headphone was installed

Hello Again,

When you Plug in HeadPhones into the Laptop the Sound Playing should automatically Bi-Pass the Speakers and go Straight to the Headphones

-Unless there is a Faulty Input for the Speaker/ Headphone, Try Pushing in the Headphones More to see if the Speakers Turn Off

Hope this Works --P3NGYJ03
