Years of poor craftsmanship in the building of our appliances has caused this. I would say that it was probably stressed with over loading the machine. You should be able to find a replacement.

Before you buy an agitator. Check the dogs that catch and cause the agitation motion. They cost 50 cents a piece and usually there aer five. Go on youtube and look for replacing dogears in washing machine agitator. Idid and thats all it was $1.00 2 dog ears wore out causing the agitator to slip. It took 30 min to fix. Hope this helps. The dogears get wore to round and will not hold! Brian Thompson

Wont agitate

Does the motor operate? If so, remove the lower panel carefully and look to see if it threw off a drive belt. If you have the type where the motor bolts to the transmission assembly and it's shaft directly engages inside transmission, the fault is inside the tranmission.

If the motor does not operate in wash cycle, but spin works, it is likely the contacts in the timer wore out.

Oil leak found under washer. Cannot tell where this is coming from or what cycle. Washing machine still seems to be working okay.

the most likely cause if the oil looks like motor oil that you put in your car but only thicker,is that it is leaking from the transmission which is very common in ge washers the oil is in the transmission to lube the gears which make the machine agitate
to be sure you could remove the front panel and would see alot of oil in the base frame
to remove the panel place a screwdriver between the panel and top and feel around and find 2 clips (one on each side) press on those clips while pulling the panel out

I have a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado with automatic transmission. When the transmission is shifting from first to second gear it jerks really hard like a thrust when changing.

have it scanned, probably has a code 1870 (transmission component slipping)
means torgue converter is slipping beyond specs, actual casue is valve body is wore out causing pressure problems

I own a 1998 Chevy Blazer 4wd that is on its 3rd transmission and I'm having the same issue where when shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear it's slipping badly my rpm's rev up to 3500 and I have to take my foot...

this is a known issue with the gm 4L60E transmission. the valve body in transmission causes this. if it is wore, then less fluid is sent to shift selonoids. thus causing torque convertor not to lock up, and this causes slipping. if it slips 2 consecutive trips then the transmission detects this and should turn on check engine light. ( p1870 ). you can see if the tcc solinoid is bad. but if not its usually the valve body in tranny.

I am able to move the gear shift, but the vehicle stays stuck in reverse. When I put the gear shift in R, Drive or any other gear the car does not move or even sound like its ingaging anything.

Maybe the shifter cable. I would look under the car on the drivers side of the transmission, with the wheels blocked, have someone operator the gear shifter and see if it is moving the shift lever on the transmission.

Plastic gear is wore out. the motor shaft wore it

My friend, if the gear is worn out, your machine is worn out. By the time you get and in stall this part, you can purchase a new machine.

There is a possibility that Royal will sell you the part ... you could check with them. I have never had luck repairing any but LARGE COMMERCIAL shredders. Home and small office shredders are not worth the effort to repair.

Kenmore Model 110.92586210 Transmission gear oil leak

You have to remove the transmission and disassemble the clutch assembly. If it is only a very small amount, maybe just a drop or two, just let it be.If it is leaking quite a bit, you can bet not only the transmission seal is leaking, but also the center shaft seals are going bad as well. The transmission doesn't hold very much oil and quite a bit has to leak out before causing problems.

I am assuming it is an manual trans. The transmission has wore the brass syncro. The only fix is full dismantling and replacing the wore parts.
