I have a1992 Toyota Camry automatic and I can't take the steering lock off

Locate the ignition switch, then use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the mounting bolts which hold it in place. Place your key in the ignition and turn it to the locked position. Use a small flat-head screwdriver to unclip the retaining pin, which is attached to the lock cylinder. This will let you remove both the ignition switch and lock cylinder

Kitchen Aid stand mixer head doesn't lock down and wobbles

You need to do a couple of strokes with a rat tail file at a 30 degree angle at the top of the slot the head lock engages into. You will need to remove the hinge pin to do this. A Kitchen Aid agent will have done plenty of then so it won't cost an arm and a leg to get it sorted.

Dyson vacuum head not moving. I release it to vacuum, it releases but then sticks in place

Hi there,

I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulties with your DC14. The cleaner head should pivot freely as you raise and lower the cleaner body, and lock into position when you stand the cleaner upright. If it doesn't seem to be doing this, it's probably best if you get in touch with us directly so we can help resolve this issue for you as soon as possible.

You can call us free on 08002980298 (UK), or 1866MYDYSON (US). We'll look forward to hearing for you.

Kind regards,

Jack

Head won't lift without force. The head lock is in the Unlock position but it doesn't lift up easily. I have to stand behind the unit and use a lot of force to pull it up. It was fine one minute...

Presuming all looks OK near pivot & lock mechinism? can you see the locking hook in rear of mixer head at the hinge area directly behind lock lever, and is it nested in the slot on the base, or is it jamming up outside the stand and scratching it up?
There is a flat-head height adjust screw to control clearance between spatula and bottom of bowl visible from head-back position- leave it alone. There is a headless set screw visible when mixer is upside down to hold the pivot pin secure. This must be loostened with long-shaft flat screwdriver to remove the pivot pin for head removal if necessary ---avoid removing the pin if possible.

Is the hinge stuck with film of sticky sugar, milk-glue residue, ot the like? That is most common cause, distant second is the lock mechinism alignment (very rare)

Its important to keep head from wobbling side-to-side in use, so dont file or sand anything

I have the homelite mighty Lite 26vt the one that breaks in half for storage well the head isnt spinning and i cant figure out why or how to even look in the shaft what do i do

That is called a quick-change shaft I believe. You need to take it apart at the connection and make sure that the two pieces on the inside of each piece of shaft are inner locking with each other. One piece of drive shaft should slip into the other.

If that doesn't do it, then you may have broke one of the pieces of shaft.

Good Luck!

I have a Dyson DC25 bagless. The vacuum head drops down further than it is supposed to when the vacuum is picked up or tilted back. What is supposed to limit the amount that it rotates downward?

Hi there,

Sorry to hear you're having difficulties with your DC25. When you stand your cleaner upright, the locking arm should secure the cleaner head in place automatically. If it doesn't seem to be doing this, it's probably best if you get in touch with us directly. You can call us free on 08002980298 (UK), or 1866MYDYSON (US). One of our experts will be happy to run through some troubleshooting over the phone with you and recommend the best course of action.

Handle will not go back. It is locked in the upright position.

Hi there,

I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulties with your DC28. The cleaner should recline easily into the vacuuming position when one foot is placed on the cleaner head, and the handle is lowered. If it's not doing this, it might be worth using a little more force than usual, in case the upright lock mechanism has jammed. If this doesn't help, or if you're reluctant to try this, it's probably best if you get in touch with us directly, so we can help you resolve the issue as quickly as possible. You can call us free on 1866MYDYSON - or if you email your details to askdysonUS@dyson.com, someone will be in contact as soon as possible.

The yellow cartridge shows a "?" when needs to

Hi,

According to your problem, first clear the cartridge head. Go to the Printer properties and clean the head. Check the nozzles and align the cartridges from same place. Clean the cartridge head 2-4 times. If it doesn't solve your problem then replace the cartridge.

My printer is giving me this indication on the screen ##345

Try this first
Lower the lock lever. The printer may not recognize the print head is installed or the printer may display errors if the lever is not in a locked position.
  1. Press the <Open> button and lift the scanning unit.

  2. Open the inner cover.

  3. Wait until the print head holder has stopped moving.

  4. Check the lock lever to ensure it is in a down position.

    1. If the lever is not down, individually remove each ink tank.
    2. Lift the lock lever and ensure the back of the print head is flush with the holder.
    3. If it is not flush, slide the print head out of the holder and gently slide it back into position.
    4. Slowly lower the lock lever until you hear a 'snap' sound and it locks into place.

    5. Re-insert each ink tanks making sure a click is heard each time.

  5. Close the scaning unit until it locks into place. If the print head was removed, perform a print head alignment.

Let me know if this works, otherwise we can try some other things. Thanks.
