based on the model number its an older set--check the simple things first---does set have sound when a DVD player is used with the rear inputs? If it does look in menu that speakers are not set now to OFF or set to External speakers(sometimes on rear of set).
I had dish satelight install on my TV. It worked well for two days, then the picture started showing in a square box. I ffixed the convergence and it seemed okay. The next day I turned on the tv and it had sound, but no picture. When I press the status button, the picture would come on then go right back out. Now I don't have any sound or picture.
