There should be a cable that came from your camera that will plug directly to you computer. Once you plug the camera and power it up the computer will ask you what you want to do. Open the camera files and save them on to you computer. Remember to look at where they are saved.

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures and videos from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures and videos from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files.

How about different videos do they have the same resolution? If yes the problem here is not with the video from the camera it can be the resolution of your computer , because if the video card of your computer is not high and the resolution is also not that high video will not look sharp when play to the computer compare when play directly from the camera...

Uploading video to computer from Kodak MX1063

Check the format of your video file, it may be hidden if it has different file extension for which your computer does not have the application to view.

Regarding your files got deleted, you might selected the option to move the files from your camera to your computer instead of copy the files.

Hope this helps.

Download video from camera to computer

Do you hve a FireWire output in the camera? (IEEE)
If yes, connect it to your computer.(You need a firewire card in your computer too ($10 on ebay))
----
If you do not have a firewire, you will have to use your video out of the camera to capture. Then you will need a TV card/Capture card to capture the video. (you can just plug in your AV out from the camera to the capture/tv card and use the software come with it.)
------------------
You can simply use Windows Movie Maker to get your videos to yor computer.

Cheers!!!

Which wires and programs do u need to have to put my vidoes onto the computer my video camera is CCD-TRV128 NTSC

This is analog video camera and can not be connected directly with computer.

Computer requires video files in digital format to store / write it on HDD or write a CD / DVD.

Best option is hook camera with DVD Recorder and burn DVD, now you have video of camera in digital format and can upload / transfer in computer for desired task.

Do you have a video/tuner card that can receive a video input? With ** av in, or firewire on your computer, you can't without purchasing additional hardware.

How do I get video from my still camera into my computer?

If you have stored your video on the removable memory card and you have a computer with a card reader, just take the memory card out of the camera and plug it into the correct slot on your computer.

If you don't have a card reader or your video is stored on the camera's internal memory, you will need to connect your camera to your computer using a usb lead.

Before connecting the camera, you will need the drivers installed on your computer. This is on the cdrom that came with the camera. If you don't have the cdrom, download the drivers from the camera manufacturer's website.

Finally, you will need software on your computer to play .mov files or whatever the format is of your video recording. You may have sotware already, so try it first.

Putting video footage on my computer

To get your footage into the computer from DV tape you need a four pin firewire (IEEE1493 or iLink) cable from the camera to a six pin cable into the computer. USB will not do a proper job, it's for downloding photos or as you already mentioned, Web caming.
