SOURCE: need an impeller for a model 635 intex pump.

You are correct. Intex is in the business of selling new product. If you have the pieces, they may be super glued with about a 70% sucess rate. good luck!

SOURCE: Need Intex Pump model #635 impeller

You know, I have made some amazing repairs on plastic items using nothing more than a soldiering iron! If you have the piece that broke off, you can carefully melt it back together. You can add more to the weld if you match the type of plastic but not too much or you imbalance it. In this case it looks like PVC. To repair it without the missing piece, form it out of epoxy putty, roughly shape it just before it sets up solid, & sand to finish.

Pump is running but not pumping

Possible broken impeller from motors shaft, common Intex problem.
As a technician of more than 30 years in the Pool/Spa Industry, And with the rise of these Quasi-Pool or Spa wannabe's, popping up everywhere, I have seen SOOOO Many frustrated customers and owners of these units, with very similar problems and non working pool and spas!
Unfortunately these Intex products are Mass Produced by the Gazillions in China, and then unleashed on the general American public? Who believe that it will work and last, but come to find that they usually don't last a season! Some die sooner, and yet some do last a little longer. AND, there are no available parts to repair! They make you buy a complete replacement control unit! So if your controller panel has a bad button, no available part, whole new control system! Heater stopped working? No available element to replace, whole new controller! Pump not pumping water or leaks - yep, No impeller or shaft seal available, Whole new pump, Etc. etc.
So many customers of mine, regret their purchase.
So...To try to help, and maybe get them back into a splashing good time or... Back in Hot Water..
I tell them ... SQUEAK! And do it loudly and often!
Maybe they will listen and OIL that Sqeak?
look here...

then if if budget allows, don't buy another Intex component, if you get no help from them, get a Real Pool Pump and if possible, mate it with a Real Pool Filter, not just toys.

How can I get my impeller to work when I plug it in it does nothing?

The impeller shaft could be binding. Also, the pump could be unable to spin the impeller at all, in which case you may need to replace it.

Intex pump flowrate drops

you may have a dirty filter. Check your filter to be sure. Remove the filter from the pool equipment and see if it runs fine for longer period of time. The filter would be the only restriction in your Intex system for water flow.

Impeller in intex model 635 broken where can I buy replacement part?

A late answer but it might help future Intex impleller sufferers... they do not sell replacement parts and you won't find any impellers sold separately anywhere on the planet. I've had 1 Intex pool and 3 Intex filter pumps in 3 years. Last week the 3rd pump's impeller broke as well. I shan't buy their products again.

Skimmer or pump baskets may be clogged. It's also possible the pool return is too high causing excess back pressure on the pump. Try raising the pump and equipment off the ground getting a bigger pump.

Is the intex 4000 pump any good.... do you lots filters...

I have the new 4000GPH pump and its awesome! The pump itself needs modifying just a bit. As for your pool, get rid of the plunger valves. They restrict the flow by about 1000GPH or more. There is a plastic grate in the inlet side of the pump. I just took a small file and sharpened the leading and trailing edges to smooth things up. The biggest thing is with the plunger valves. I modified some PVC fittings so I can use 1.5 inch ball valves. When my pump starts up, you see the water moving. I no longer have problems with **** settling to the bottom of my pool. Oh, and it will run an automatic cleaner with ease.
I dont recommend using the 400GPH pump with hoses smaller than 1.5 inches as there will be too much pressure and is likely to cause problems.
