Question about Sony FD Trinitron WEGA KV-32HS420 32" TV
I have over 10 years experience in electronic tech support.
I know this isn't what you want to hear, but the problem you've described can't be fixed with troubleshooting. Your TV will have to be repaired. There is a part that has developed a defect and needs to be replaced. If you bought the TV within the last year, it should still be under the manufacturer's warranty. The repair would also be covered under an extended warranty if you purchased one.
If you're out of warranty, before paying a TV repair person $75+ to diagnose the problem, ask yourself if you're willing to pay $150 minimum to fix this particular set. Also keep in mind that TVs that are 3 years old or more have a very limited number of replacement parts still available. Normally it will cost at least $75 to have the set looked at by a repair shop (diagnostics). If the part needed to complete the repair isn't available, you won't get that money back.
I hope I've provided you useful assistance and that this information allows you to make an informed decision as to how to proceed from here.
Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.
