My keyboard on my laptop has a broken key, there are 2 clip underneath it and one of them is broken where can i buy a new one?? The key that is broken is the ALT key(bottom left hand corner)

I see your having problems with your keyboard. Have you haven't spilt anything on your laptop?
Try uninstalling your keyboard from device manger and restart your laptop if that dosn't work then your keyboard is dying.
I would suggest buying a new keyboard.

What do you want to clean? Use a can of compressed air, vacuum cleaner, or buy a new keyboard. it is not recommended to remove the keys.

No the broken retainer clip can not be repaired, but you can buy a new laptop key retainer clip, take a look at www.replacementlaptopkeys.com, they sell the toshiba laptop keys you need, take care.

Replace the keyboard -- nobody "fixes" laptop keyboards, due to the lower cost of replacing it.

unfortunately the clips that hold a laptop key down are very small and delicate, and very easy to break.. if it has simply popped off.. it will take a little inginuity to get it back on, but it isnt impossible.. usually they have 2 arms with little pop on clips that are very small.. you can get it back on if you have very steady hands and a very small pair of tweezers, but if it has broken the clips.. theres not much hope for it im afraid, you might be up for a new keyboard.. which can be ordered through the manafacturer, but depending on which manafacturer also determines the price..

Before do anything, clean your laptop's keyboard with strong air blower.. if any dust formation under keys will be removed by this task.. then try to work.. if again problem occurs, dismantle the Laptop... try to re-mount laptop keyboard connection.. if problem continues, change keyboard..

the screws that hold the keyboard is usually under long plastic cover on the top the keyboard..

You don't have to buy a whole new keyboard to replace few keys. Try taking off the key cap and its retainer clips (plastic pieces underneath the key cap). Repair it yourself with the help of this video:

you can order a replacement keyboard from ebay and replace the whole thing. its a couple of screws and when pulling apart the laptop you must be careful of the clips. Also they probably sell them by the key on there.

is the holl key board broken if not you can get a usb keyboard if not please let me know then i will see what i can figer out
