Question about Refrigerators
Hi I have an Admiral fridge / freezer (mod/no Gc2224GEKB ser/no 10285638EX ) and I replaced the water filter, I then pressed the lock and water buttons for three seconds as per the instructions. All the lights on the front control panel have gone off and nothing responds when any of the buttons are pressed except when pushing a glass against the button for the ice dispenser the motor in the ice dispenser kicks in. I can't think what I have done to upset the panel and I hope you can help please? Kind regards Dave
Have you tried unplugging and plugging the fridge back in? This may reset the control baoard.

Testimonial: "Thanks for the advise. Yes! I have done that several times hoping it may work. The problem started after changing the filter and the lights went out over a few days"

There's an ice- or water-dispensing problem The ice and water-dispensing system of your refrigerator is quite complex. Many components work together to provide the ice and water. Aside from a simple problem of a leaky water tube or a jammed ice chute, most other components are not user serviceable. We suggest that you contact a qualified appliance repair technician for such repairs.

We had thought this was a free service...??? Yes, we fixed it ourselves, after trial and error. We pulled out the ice bin and there is an arm that is moves back and forth beside it. It had frozen up. That is the ice crusher. Thaw it out and it is fixed. By the way, the above posting was not by us--ours stated that our ice crusher did not crush ice anymore. Instead, cubes came out...
