It sounds like you have a shorted red CRT and it caused phoshor burns on all three CRTs because the blanking circuit could not blank the picture fast enough at time of shut down.
It can be repaired but all three CRTs must be replaced. Cost of doing this is too much for the age of the set. I would invest instead in a LCD projection or LCD flat panel.
Hope this helps,

Does emachines n214 has a webcam

In short, yes, your laptop should have a built-in webcam. I looked at the specifications sheet on Tom Hardware Hardware News Tests and Reviews for your laptop, and the link is just for your own reference.

The easiest way to tell is to look at the top-center of your laptop display, on the plastic frame, and see if there's a smooth black circle only a little bit smaller than a dime-sized dot.

Btw, I’m available to help over the phone in case u need at

There is a red dot near the center of my Vizio tv screen, what is it?

if just a single tiny dot it is a bad or defective pixel in the front panel-usually there from first time the unit is powered up but from a distance may not be noticed--almost never gets worse or increases in size. Unless set is under warranty do not worry about is as a Panel(entire front screen unit) usually costs more to replace then the entire TV.

I have the same problem, Turn it on it goes red, then shuts off.

It sounds like the red CRT is shorted and the dots are phosphor burns from the set shutting down too fast without blanking the picture. In most cases if it is a crt that is bad and you have more than one tube that has phosphor burns it is reommended to replace all three CRTs other wise you will have a color imbalance.
Even if the set is less than 5 years old, the cost would be too much to invest being that the newer LCD Projections are comming down in price.
Hope this helps

Yellow dot about the size of a nickel that appears on the center of the screen. Any help as to what causes this or how to go about correcting?

You probaly have a phosphor burn in the center of the blue picture tube. Solution is to replace the tube or have it rebuilt.

Panasonic PT-61LCX65 tv has color spots

if you mean color spots size of a dime or so.
  • easiest: it is dust in some step of the projection light path.
  • hardest: the light engine could be damage
if you mean little ones as little dots (a neddle punshing) red and blue but always there:
  • condition call it: pixels always on: light engine is the reason.
as you see the light engine is the main part here, IT is expensive repair. so if you can survive with those little dots do it.
IF it is dust, is good idea asking for and estimate to see if can works.

TV turns off with balck screen and small color dot in center

Best Educated guess would be your Flyback transformer is failing. Not something you can replace at home and the value of the part may exceed the replacement value of the set by the time labour and part are factored together. DO Not look to replace this part yourself as this part inside the set as it has a high voltage that can be lethal. Output voltage can be around 50,000
