That would depend on what keyboard layout is loaded
example: no matter what the symbols on the keyboard itself, if the keyboard language is set to US English, the @ key is always shift+2.

Check to see if the ram is securely in place. (that will cause a pc to not boot, usually there is a beep code tho)

You're meant to press the Fn + F1 buttons simultaneously. If it doesnt work after that, head onto the website I'd say.
