Iron always too hot

Problems with an iron's electronic complements should be dealt with by an authorized service center. It typically is more cost effective to replace rather than repair an iron with internal problems. if none of the dials heat works right. its a problem with the setting switch. good-day !

Lights come on but it don't heat up..

Sounds like a defective thermofuse. Rowenta doesn't encourage anyone to repair their product except their authorized service centers. Parts are not made available. Go to rowenta.com to find the nearest service center and call them.

We dropped the iron off the ironing board onto the floor, and now it won't heat up.

We located a Black & Decker Service Center here in our town and will be dropping it off tomorrow.

I need to purchase the thermostat/steam generator that is inside the water tank of the rowenta dg050 iron/steamer. where can i find that part? i know it is the problem

I would call a Rowenta service center to find the part and cost. If you are in the US go to the After Sales Service, Service Centers at
http://www.rowentausa.com/rowenta/frame.aspx

If you are outside of the US go to the www.rowenta.com site and select your country.

Rowenta precision iron DM 561 will not heat up

Most irons for which you pay more than $10 (like this nice Rowenta) will have a replaceable heating element. The problem seems to be to try to find where you can get the heating element. My best bet would be for you to contact a Rowenta service center (see listing at http://tinyurl.com/danr9x). They should be able to tell you where you can get the heating element.

Before you go that route, I am assuming you already plugged the iron directly into the outlet in the wall (not in the surge strip)? Wouldn't be the first time a single outlet of a power strip goes bad.

Good Luck,

I would like to send my Rowenta Steam Iron somewhere to have it repaired. The piece you click to activate the steam has ceased to work. Where could I send it? Thanks!

If I were in your shoes, this is exactly what I would do. Please go to this website which gives you the warranty approved service centers:
http://www.rowentausa.com/rowenta/frame.aspx
If it is not under warranty, it would be best to telephone the Ph. # of the service center closest to where you live. I am sure that they would be able, and glad; to "Fix Ya'" (Ha! Ha!) right up with an approved appliance repair business, near your home; especially for one of their Products. Best of LUCK & Have a Great Day!

Iron No Longer Heats Up

Recommended solution, gently shake, did not work.

Considering the iron was at a minimum two years old, I decided to purchase another Rowenta. I found the recommended solution documented on a FAQ sheet enclosed with the new iron.

I actually own another Rowenta iron (I now have three) that has the same issue. I will send one iron, the one manufactured in Germany, to a Rowenta Service Center to see if can be repaired - it was the first Rowenta iron I purchased and it provided several good years of service.

No Steam From Iron

Hi,

I can tell you the stem rod for the steam control is choke or faulty. These prevent the water going onto the sole plate that why no steam. You've to send for servicing at your nearest repair shop or agent.
