Login notifications are an opt-in security feature that send alerts when your account is being accessed. If you already have this feature and no longer want it for your account, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Account Settings page.
  2. Select "change" next to Account Security.
  3. Select "No" to opt-out of receiving login notifications via email.

My facebook is keep on asking me for a Login Code which they dont send via mail or sms????

seems some problem with your FB account privacy.

use a device( phone /laptop ) which you have used earlier to login into FB account. That might allow you to chnage the password.

Why won't Facebook open on my desk top but I can log in on Google

I'm confused - are you asking about a desktop (ie: PC) or iPad? Actually, in either case, you may need to check your security settings in Facebook using a device with which can login from - it could be you need to allow the iPad login in Facebook security under "Login Approvals" or you may need to use the "code generator". One tip is that you can opt to get approval codes via mobile phone text msg and then use that code on your iPad.

Someone as hacked my facebook account and is inviting people to be my friend and also is carrying on conversations with my friends, I changed my password. What else can be done to stop this person?

After you recover it, I recommend setting up Login Approvals to ensure it doesn't happen again.

What are login approvals? How do I turn this setting on? Login approvals are an extra security feature similar to login notifications, but with an extra security step. If you turn on login approvals, you'll be asked to enter a special login code each time you try to access your Facebook account from a new computer or mobile phone. After you log in, you'll have the option to give that device a name and save it to your account. You won't have to enter a code when you log into any of these recognized devices.
To turn on login approvals:
  1. Go to your Security Settings page ( 851580_142488495957208_1588909839_n.png > Account Settings > Security)
  2. Click on the Login Approvals section
  3. Check the box and save your changes
A few things to note:
  • You need to have a mobile phone number listed on your account to turn on login approvals. You can add one to your account when you turn on login approvals.
  • If you haven't named the device you're using, you'll be asked to do so when you turn on login approvals. Don't click the Save this device option if you're using a computer that other people use (ex: a library computer).
  • After you turn on login approvals, we need to be able to remember your computer and browser info so we can recognize it next time you log in. Some browser features block this. If you've turned on private browsing or set up your browser to clear your history every time it closes, you might have to enter a code every time you log in. Learn more.
