Warning: All applications and personal files contained on the tablet will be erased. Only do this if you are unable to start your tablet.

First, ensure the tablet has been switched off.
Hold both the VOL+ and POWER buttons until the Gemini logo appears. Release both buttons.
You should see a green robot on the screen with a red warning sign.
Press & hold POWER then press VOL+ once, then release the POWER button. A menu will show on-screen.
Using the VOL+ and VOL- keys you can move up and down to select the Factory reset option. Press POWER to select this option, then move down to YES and press POWER again.
Once completed, press POWER to restart the unit.

My ASUS tablet is constantly 'restarting'. I allowed the battery to die and then plugged it in to switch back on and it is still 'restarting'. Any advice?

Could be a couple of things. Tablets and laptops will spontaneously restart if they overheat - this is most often caused by a failed or clogged CPU fan. You can also get restarts from bad RAM, a bad main board, or failing/failed hard drive.

One suggestion - go to the manufacturers website and see if they have a specific hardware test utility you can download for your device. That might help you pinpoint where the fault is.

Asus transformer book T100TAF is constantly 'restarting'. I allowed the battery to die and then plugged in and switched on and it is still 'restarting'

I don't have one of those but suggest you actually remove the battery completely. Then reinstall it after a few minutes to hpefully reset it.

Are you actually turning the tablet off when you are not using it? (Hold down power button until Power Off box appears on screen)? If not, your tablet is constantly using power even with the screen blanked and will drain the battery. You could have a bad battery that is no longer holding its charge. How long can you run the device off the charger continuously? That length of time might indicate the state of the battery. Check the manual for expected battery life, which for a Linx 7 is usually 4 hours or less.

My Thorn TV keeps switching itself off after only a minute or less, it seems to go into sleep mode or similar, I have no clue how to fix this though

Just a quick try - make sure that the plug is securely in the wall socket - and the back of the TV, if it has a removable cord. The next suggestion would be to make sure that all timers are off. the last thing to look at is ventilation and to make sure the unit is not right on top/close to a heat source. All basic suggestions, but sometime we overlook the simplist things.
