2000 jeep Cherokee sport starts and runs 5 to 10 seconds then shuts down any ideas?

If I had to put money on it, it's the fuel pump. Before undertaking the replacement (It's not too hard) get a fuel pressure gauge from Harbor Freight for 20 bucks and check the pressure at the fuel rail. The HF kit comes with all the adapters required to connect it. You should have near 50 psi or more with the engine running. If it's low or intermittent, time to drop the tank and replace the pump. Shut down when started

stalls,
there are over 50 ways for any engine to stall.
but in pure physics, 4
1: lost electric power. to EFI systems.
2: bad engine, ( ill show 1 of 50, burned intake valve)
3: bad spark (ever do a tune up? every 60k miles?
3a: ASD drop out, the ASD relay kills running, for up to 7 reasons.
4: bad fueling, too little or 2 much.
just 4. (but add EGR stuck open, no engine option stated, so.....?????_

you do do tests, or guess.
do you want guesses. i can post 50 . but refuse. to do that.
what do you want.?
you only posted a statement in fact. with no real questions.
here i ask one for you.
how can I do the tests to find this.
1: do the turnup.
2: see if ASD relay drops out running.

ok , ill guess, the battery cables are corroded and loose.

there is a test for every type failure.
and a tool that helps, all dirt cheap.

Motor shuts down

stalls,
lots of causes of stalls, i have a list of over 50. could add to it easy.
Portuguese = Bobina (ignition coil)

Jeeps have a RELAY called ASD, and that is its job to SHUT Down.
here is a list.
1: check all fuses first on both fuse boxes
2: battery charged to 12.6v, rested. (good spark plugs not 18years old
3: crank and see ASD close, if yes, then see if it drops out with 5 seconds cranking, it might drop out in 2 seconds.
this is the 2 second rule.
when you see it drop out , that means the ECU sees ERRORS.
bad spark , bad CMP, bad CKP or Immobilizer errors. SKIM.
4: we then connect any OBD2 scan tool to the OBD2 DLC 16pin
connector , and crank again for 5 seconds.
the scan tool will (may) show DTC errors, these errors tell you
WHY the ASD was dumped. (stalled)

ill stop here, as we need above facts to proceed.

My 20 AMP FP/ASD Gas, keeps blowing even off i went threw 4 in a row...really really frustrating

If the ASD blows the fuel pump fuse the fix is easy disconnect the battery go the the 02 sensor the one near the power steering pump here is the scenerio your 02 heater circuit has shorted to ground you will have to unravel the o2 harness you did add a year so i will assume its a 95 use this as a guide do you see the 02 heater and the nearest ground is the 02 sensor which can cause FP to blow opencansmo_10.gifcansmo_11.gif

Do I need to add oil to the gas?

Yes....you do. Add about 4 ounces of synthetic 2 stroke oil to 1 gallon of gas or 2 ounces to 1/2 gallon of gas. The ratio is 50:1 which equates to about 3.6oz/gallon. The extra won't hurt, especially if your equipment is tuned to the "lean" side.

Can anyone give me some instructions to add a leaf spring kit to my 2002 4X4 V6 Ext.Cab Tacoma?

This should be pretty close for you since most add a spring(s) are pretty much the same.

Note: Check U-Bolt length prior to disassembly, Longer U-Bolts may be required.
1. Park the vehicle on flat level ground. Set the emergency brake and block the tires.
2. Raise the vehicle so that the tires slightly touch the ground. Support the frame rails using jack
stands.
3. Remove the U-Bolts from one side only. Remove the spring eye bolts and remove the leaf spring
from the vehicle.
4. Place 2 C-Clamps around the leaf spring as shown in Photo #1. Tighten C-Clamps against the
leaf spring.
5. With C-Clamps tightened onto leaf spring, remove the center tie bolt using a pair of vice grips to
hold the head of the bolt. “Slowly” remove the C-Clamps to release the spring tension.
6. Note the location of the tie bolt hole in the add-a-leaf. If the hole is not centered, measure the factory
spring to determine the long end and short end. Be sure to install the add-a-leaf with the
long end towards the long end of the leaf spring. Install the new add-a-leaf onto the “bottom” of
new leaf spring. If installing more than one leaf per side, install the longest first, then the shortest.
7. Use a screw driver to line up the tie bolt hole in the leaves. It is recommended to leave the screwdriver
in to help keep the leaves aligned as you tighten the C-Clamps. Tighten until there is
enough space to install the new tie bolt. With tie bolt installed, tighten the nut by hand. Then continue
to tighten the C-Clamps. Repeat this process until leaves are pulled together. See diagram
below. DO NOT USE THE TIE BOLT TO PULL THE LEAVES TOGETHER. THIS CAN RESULT
IN AN EXPLOSIVE DISASSEMBLY AND POSSIBLE INJURY!
8. Tighten the center tie bolt to torque specifications provided.
9. Reinstall leaf spring into the vehicle. Install U-bolts. Repeat this process on the opposite side.
Torque Specifications:
3/8” Tie Bolt = 17 Ft. Lbs.
7/16” Tie Bolt = 27 Ft. Lbs.
1/2” Tie Bolt = 41 Ft. Lbs.
