This does not tell you how to take out the roller, it doesn't tell you that you need to take off the cover at the back either, so still no solution to my problem.

there are several fixes to this problem 1. replace pickup asembly 2. Clean the rubber pickup band are roller with a rubber cleaning compound (not alchohol0 alcohol dries out the rubber.
This is a common problem with printers and faxes, Paper has a tendency to leave a glass glaze on the pickup rollers therefore causing the paper to slip on the rollers are to be misfed thus causing a paper jam

The paper keeps jamming but i cannot see any paper anywhere in the printer.

Sounds like a pickup roller is slipping....I recommend a product called Rubber Rejuvenator which you can buy at Staples or Office Depo....It comes in a spray can and you spray it on the rubber rollers and it softens the rubber allowing it to grip the paper. Its completely designed to clean these rollers and its what the pro's use! Hope this helps.

Pickup roller fails to load paper sometimes from the paper tray.

I have a Samsung ML1610 mono laser printer which I fixed this on, but lots of Samsung printers have the same issue and fix. The pickup roller shrinks so that it doesn't feed the paper consistently. This gets worse over time. And replacements, from suppliers advertising on eBay, come as two parts. There is a fat "rubber band" which is stretched over a removable u-shaped plastic core, and there is a video on YouTube showing how to replace these parts (see below). You can buy either just the rubber band or the plastic core as well. But my tip is that, if you remove the rubber band and plastic core, you can turn the old rubber band inside out (if it is not yet cracked) and the edges of the old band now stick out and make it work reliably again for a limited time while your replacement part order arrives. I am leaving my old one to see how long this fix lasts: it has lasted about a week so far with smooth printing. And if this fix fails, it might indicate that this is not the correct fix for your printer. This video shows a fix; a small screwdriver or a bent piece of metal (and strong fingers) is all you need to do the repair.

Rubber band slipping to edge of the silver spoke

Hi thanks so much - the vacuum is an upright morphy richards model number 73360.

We kept re-alligning the band into the middle and rolling the brush round several times with our hands to make sure it wouldn't spin off. The roller that the band fits on is very wide so you just put the band in what you think looks like the middle.

It was unbelievably sensitive and had to have it "exactly perfect" to the millimetre otherwise the band would just continue to slip off. It appears to be working for now so lets see how long it lasts before the smell of burning again! Many thanks for advice.

Pickup Roller wear

I have had the same paper jam nightmare as many CLP-300 users and just as I was on the verge of throwing it away I appear to have solved the problem. The paper tray has adjustable plastic guides on either side. I loosened them slightly to allow an spare eighth of an inch each side and I've had no problems since. I can't believe the problem that plagued me for months was so easy to fix.

Samsung CLP300 cannot get the rubber pick up roller back in

The rubber band goes around the plastic roller and is loose about loose enough to get a finger between it and plastic however the thing then pushes back into the curved space at the back of the roller so it forms a kind of c shape around the roller. If that makes any sense!

The only way to do this is with 2 small flat bladed screw drivers when u push them at the same time into the edge where the clips are one either side of the roller the whole roller will come off. If you can see opposite the clips there is a sort of hinge section this hinges down and the whole roller and rubber comes free. I just turned the rubber inside out and refitted it no more paper feed errors. It is a little tricky to reach and you definitely need the screw drivers to slip in the edge as pushing on the little lever to release it wont slip it past the notch that holds it in place. Good luck.

Samsung ML-2010 won't feed paper

This is a step-by-step process for replacing the tire (roller). Thanks to dizzyzuma for helping me get the right part and get the procedure down.

1: You will need to manually shut off the printer in the middle of printing in order to release the tabs. Put in a few sheets of junk paper and print a few blank documents. You want to shut off the printer using the switch in the back when the roller is approximately in this position:

2: Hold the down the two side tabs that are locking the tire into place and press down on the tire with your finger. It should pop off relatively easily.

3: Turn the printer back on. The tire will rotate around to its starting position, but it will now be unlocked. Turn the printer back off.

4: Rotate the tire towards you and unhook the two bottom hinges. It should come off without much force.

5: Replace the old tire with the new tire.

6: Re-insert the tire onto one of the bottom hinges and rotate it around so that both of the bottom hinges (tabs) are in.

7: While holding the back of the metal bar with your fingers for leverage, press firmly with your thumb to snap the tire back into place.

8: Turn back on the print. You’re good to go.
