Waterford propane heating stove fan noise

The aftermarket fan installed on this gas stove rattles and the rat cage fan is noisy. Any solutions.

We have the same issue. Sounds like the rat cage is rubbing, but doesn't look like it. Vacuumed and brushed each fin of the fan, but still has the noise. Anyone come up with a better solution(s)? Many thanks.

Hi
Just check out for any loose screws or bolts. Maybe the fitting has gone loose, before that check out if anything is stuck in the fan area. Use a blower to clean the area. hope it solves the issue. Dont forget to leave a comment.

Thanks, I've done all that you suggest and the rattling noise is less, but on higher revs it is not something you want to have running your living room. Any other ideas? Thanks.

I have a Waterford gas log stove. The pilot light is on and working. The stove won't turn on either when it's called on by the thermostat or when I switch the stove to "on".

You have a bad thermostat is what sounds like when you turn it on yourself there is a electric valve that opens to make work and it is not getting the signal or you have something in the line feeding it.

If you dont have gas coming thru while holding down the button, you have one of the following; no gas, main valve off, or a bad gas valve.

Hello there! Noisy Sounds can be much frightening, but if you could determine from where the sound is coming on you will get the solution, the sound makers inside a pc are mostly fans, and what type of sound you are actually hearing, rattling sounds means some wires touching up the C.P.U Cooler fan, another one could be a loose fan on the SMPS. Solution to this is to Check all the Fans Do so by
1. Remove the Cabinet cover on one side and Start the machine and try to see and determine what actually is making the noise, rattling sound could be a wire or something touching the fan, if its okay, then listen for the SMPS fan.
Hope this Helps.

Turn fan on and extremly noisy. I have replace the motor using the same fan blades, but noise still exist. Any suggestion to the problem?

You are in position to visualise the fault as the blades are turned so that the nosie is seen . It can be from rubbing of the fan leaf, slipping of the blades from the shaft, or a possible vibration.
remove the power and turn manually to hear the noise to correct.

Problem gas cooker

Go on line to westing house.com and look up your model, go to the help page and ask for their assistance, gas is not something to fool around with, I suspect it is the orifice that have not been converted to propane, I had a similar problenm with the stove top burners, and the orifices needed to be changed to (converted ) to run on propane gas. Some times manufactures send the converter orfices but most of the time you have to ask for them if you are running on propane, most stoves are set up for natural gas not propane. Most of the time the store clerks don't ask you if you will be running on propane , you have to tell them and the professional who installs the unit needs to install the orifices. Please be careful! If you installed the stove your self, you need to contact a professional installer to correctly adjust these .

My new gas stove (propane) is releasing black soothe when lit. All the pots are covered in this black powdery like substance. Whats the problem and how can i fix it. It's really costing me a lot to clean .

All gas stoves are set up for natural gas. Before using on propane, the oven and burners need to be converted for propane operation. Refer to the installation manual for conversion requirements for your particular stove.
