Our cc18 crystal cold the frig is not cold but the freezer is working. does it need cleaning in the back?

You more then likely need a new thermostat.

If it is your freezer, check to make sure that the air vents inside the freezer are not blocked by food. Putting too much food in an blocking the air vents will prevent the freezer from freezing. Air needs to circulate inside the freezer for it to work properly. This can also cause excess freezer ice collecting on freezer or in foods. Dust and lint will collect under and behind a frig. Pull the frig out from the wall, unplug it. Check for lint under and on the back of it. If it has accumulated some, vacuum it all off and plug it back in and wait a while to see if it gets cold. The fan pulls lint and dust under the frig and it stops the cooling system. If this doesn't work, it may need the freon (can't spell it correctly) stuff replaced. If these don't work, you need to call

setting the freezer at 7 opens the baffle from the freezer to the fridge to make the fridge colder. It works completely opposite than a person would think. Feel in the back of the fridge with it on this setting. The freezer is dumping all its cold air into the fridge thus equalizing the two parts. if you move the selector to 1, you should feel the air from the freezer cut off in the fresh food compartment. try a setting in the middle and let sit for 24 hours. Since the temperature is already 40°, the cold control is satisfied and will not run. Thus the freezer will warm up to 40°.

give it a little more time u cleaning it is what i would of done

Hi, check and see if the condenser fan motor is still running. Sometimes while cleaning, the fan blade gets hung up and will need to be freed. Migth have knocked some dust or insolation into the fan.

first check your damper door from the freezer to the refrigerator compartment make sure its in the proper position. Then turn off the refrigerator for a few hours until the heavy frost melts away. turn on the refrigerator check the refrigeration cycle, is it working properly, is it going into defrost are the defrost heaters working.

Switch off frig and let it completely defrost.

Is your freezer fan blowing when the ref. is running, should feel air coming out the vent then,,,when running.
