Question about Sanyo VPC-S880 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Recharged battery, turn on, stays on about 2 seconds then off

I took some pictures then reviewed them. I tried to review again and the camera shut off. I recharged the battery, got a green light, reinstalled battery and camera shuts off. I took the memory card out and turned the camera on, then it went off. It shows on the charger to be fully charged. What is happening?

I'm trying to review pictures on my Kodak camera but it keeps shutting off when I try to review them?

Usually when somebody that is trying to help you, BTW, it's not only one person, and asked you for more information, is really asking for you to give them just about everything relating to the issue. As an example: What type of batteries does your camera use, some camera use two type of batteries, a regular one like AA or AAA, and a flat battery, usually 1023 or something like that, this is to keep the camera info, and not loosing the time, and set up overtime you turn on the camera . Does it have a memory card? Does it shut off only when reviewing the photos? If you were to put all this info, plus the camera model, we could look into it for you. This is the kind of more information the other person was trying to get. As for the issue, all I can advice is, if it have a memory card take it out and insert it in a computer, so you can see the pictures. Best of luck.

Unable turn on canon 60D i was reviewing the photo

Remove the battery and memory card, switch the power switch on for a few seconds and then switch it off. Make sure the battery is fully charged, re-insert the battery and try to switch on again without the memory card in.

Will let me review pictures, but when I switch to take pictures it shuts off

Try to check if the memory is already full, delete some files before taking pictures again. or Try to check the battery if fully charged also, review the manual, you might have to review the settings of your camera

My camera won't stay on..

Remove the memory cards if any and then switch it on. it must switch on . after that give the reset option from the menu and format the memory and insert it .

There is one more instance in which you will face this problem is if the firmware is damaged. if so you must contact the technician or you can make use of the warranty if you have ..

Canon G9 - image disappears

If you go to display and click down to "review" you should be able to set the review time to what you would like. The default may be 102 seonds. This should work and check the manual

OMG!!! If you still have the camera, try this. I read in one of these forums to spray a burst of brake cleaner in there and blow dry for a few seconds and believe it or not, it worked! That's after me taking it apart to make sure the connectors weren't loose, using the pencil eraser and banging it. I am not making this up. It was my last resort and it worked. Good luck!

It sounds like your camera has the review time setting set to a short value like 1 second. Look in your user manual for Review Time and then follow the steps to change the review time setting on your camera. If this doesn't solve your problem, it would help to know:

1) Do you have your user manual?
2) What do you have the Review Time set for?
3) If you go to playback mode can you see the picture for a longer time?
