Question about Goodman CLQ36AR49 Air Conditioner
Turned AC on today would not cool, called repair man and he said it has been struck by lightning and to turn into homeowners insurance and pay deductible. O and we just bought the house in march and inspector said it was fine but we didn't use the furnance very much but it never seem to warm house very well, and after reading this I think only the back up source was being used. What might be wrong with this? I don't think it's been struck by lightening
You would be surprised what lightning can do if its documented on a service ticket insurance will pay. usually the tell tail signs of a lightning strike wire connections look like welding splatter. have compressor changed and both coils cleaned. Tom
