Maytag mdb6100awb trips circiut breaker after 5-10 minutes in use

Maytag mdb6100awb trips circiut breaker after 5-10 minutes into operation. No odd noises just quits. Have had no problems in the past.

I missed spoke, there is a snaping noise from the d/w just before the breaker pops. It almost appears at the end of a cycle. When it runs it stays on for about 5-10 minutes. Could this be caused from the recall they had back in 2005?

The first thing I would do is install a new circuit breaker. That could well be your problem.

You have a short in your machine causing this problem. If you are not trained to do electrical work please call in a pro as you could damage yourself or your machine by a false move.

My electric Maytag oven keeps blowing the breaker

If the breaker trips right away there is probably a short in the stove, A burned wire may have fallen against the case or a shorted burner element. If the takes a few minutes to trip the breaker may be weak and shouhd be checked.

you could simply have a weak breaker and the load required for the machine is tripping it, have someone replace the breaker in the service panel, and you should be ok, ( while they are there, have them check the actual receptacle for loose or bad wiring

Power Failure without tripping breaker

Sounds like an overheat code tripped due to obstruction in the exhaust. There is also a vent tube on the bottom of the dryer that could be loose.

Circuit breaker trips after 10 minutes

could be a weak breaker,or poor high resistance connection from panel to dryer plug, then have someone check the current draw on the dryer while operating and see if it's within specs of the machine tag, if it's higher than that you may have a defective motor or heating element to case causing a higher than normal current draw

Our Maytag mdb6100awb has no power. I checked the breaker and no luck. Do you recommmend replacing the switches and them the control board?

Either one, portable or built-in, when the door lock is engaged, press HARD or even hit with the palm of your hand below the lock while looking for console lights to flicker on...if you see the lights flicker, it is the safety switch located inside the door panel which isn't engaging when the door is locked.

My new maytag centennial electric keeps tripping

Hi Matt
I'm not sure that swapping out the breakers to higher rated ones will give you a solution so I'll throw in 2 cents to see if my advice holds true. Let's start by asking this. Is the appliance "rated" at 220 volts at 30 amps per leg. I assume this from your post as to what it has been rated. Next - How long is the "run" of wire from the junction box to the outlet where the appliance plugs in? This usually does not matter in most households but if the run is of significant length it may need a larger gage wire to support the current draw of the appliance. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, are the lugs and wire connectors tight at the outlet, the plug, and the breaker box. A loose connection will ramp up the current fast. This is assuming the first two items were met. Tell me if any of this helps and we'll work it out from there.

when you say the drum wont spin even manually. Do you mean the drum is too stiff to turn by hand? If so the bearings may have seized up solid. If the drum is free to turn by hand, the pump may be blocked, or burned out & not allowing the water out. If so the circiut wont allow the machine to spin. If thats the case, unblock or replace the pump
