SOURCE: dns of globe broadband

Hi,

Locally (in your network) to gather these information, you can enter http ://192.168.0.1/ to get the Actiontec’s web interface and gather the DNS info.

Alternately, for Globelines (Philippines) DNS Servers, you can try:

  • 202.52.163.6
  • 202.52.163.7
  • 202.52.162.39 (ns1.globeidc.com.ph)
  • 202.52.162.40 (ns1.globeidc.com.ph)
  • 202.52.167.70
  • 202.52.167.71
Depending on the time of the day, below DNS varies in performance/speed:
  • 203.127.225.10 (g-net.globe.com.ph)
  • 203.127.225.11 (g-net1.globe.com.ph)
In some instances, the following also work:
  • 202.95.226.66
  • 202.95.226.77
The below DNS could also be used but would seem to be reserved for somebody way up the company:
  • 203.177.3.100 (theboss.globenet.com.ph)
Hope that this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

Sorry if my writing is not clear I dont have best english.
If you move your router from eircom to smartelecom you have to change security protocol from "chap" eircom to "pap" smarttelecom.
Now Do this few steps.
Go to start menu on windows find and click run.
type: cmd and press ok
When you will see black screen that will be command prompt.
Now you have to type your defaul ip adress. To check your defaul ip adress type ipconfig in command prompt and press enter.
Default Gateway is your default ip adress. Now when you know your ip type in command prompt:
telnet yourip 23 and press enter, for example:
telnet 192.168.1.254 23
If you didnt setup any password to login to the router you will be loged automaticly and you will see "Netopia-2000/18861188>
But if you have setuped login and password to your router you have to first type your login and press enter, then password and press enter to have acces.

Eror 105 wifi

Error 105 is one of the most commonly faced errors by a lot of users everyday who are using Google chrome
Error 105 is a DNS resolution error. - Which means when you enter the URL of the website and hit enter in Google chrome, it tries to resolve the IP address of the website using a protocol called DNS (Domain Name System). If chrome is unable to reach the DNS server, the name resolution fails and you get the error 105.
Solution:
Once you have verified from your internet service provider that there is no problem on their end, follow the step by step instructions below.
We are simply going to add a manual DNS address in Windows so that chrome is able to resolve DNS queries.
1) Press [Windows Key + R] to open the "RUN Dialog"
Alternatively, you can also click on the start menu, type run in the search bar, and you will have the RUN Program.
Once you have the RUN box, type in ncpa.cpl and click OK - This would work for all Windows operating systems including Windows Xp, Vista and 7.
2) Next, Choose the correct network adapter (from the icons)
If you are connecting to the internet using an Ethernet cable, then most likely you are using a desktop computer. Right-Click "Local Area Connection" and click "Properties"
If you are connecting to the internet using a Wi-Fi Connection, then Right-Click on "Wireless Network Connection" and click properties
3) After you open the properties window, select "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)" and click "Properties"
4) Usually you would be having both the options set to "Automatic"
In the section below, select the "Use the following DNS Server Addresses" and enter the following values Preferred DNS Server - 8.8.4.4
Alternate DNS Server - 8.8.8.8
and click "OK", then click "CLOSE"
You must now test your new configuration by browsing a website - you can also try and browse the website you were trying to get to when you got the error 105.

Unable to connect to http://coredjradio.ning.com

Are you behind a website blocking appliance? If so, check the whitelist/blacklist.

Also, check your hosts file and make sure here is no entry for these sites, then perform the command "nslookup coredjradio.ning.com" to see if you can resolve an IP address for the site from DNS. If you don't get an IP address, check your DNS settings and try again.

Once you can resolve the site's IP address, check your firewall(s) to make sure HTTP port 80 is allowed to this site.

I cannot communicate with primary dns server 172.29.71.1 is there a way i can reset it automaticaly or manually

You cam try doing a power cycle. Turn off the modem, router (if you have one) and your computer. after 1 minute turn on modem first then router and computer. If you still can't communicate or ping the DNS it could be a firewall that is blocking it.

Cant get internet connection on my ps

first check wether you received a valid ip address for your local network. usually, this should be something like 192.168.x.y. if so, then you might indeed face a dns issue. dns is used to resolve web site names to ip address. usually, your ip service provider will broadcast the external dns servers for your router to recognize.

try to connect with a computer first. if it works, check the ip settings. if your computer also cannot connect without explicit dns server settings you can do one of the following:
- explicit dns server address in ps3. go to "advanced internet connection settings", and then to "dns settings" and set the dns server address
- purchase a 30$ network router and hook it between your internet and the ps3. in the router settings, set the dns server address to be broadcasted to the clients. you can use 168.126.63.1 and 2 which are dns servers in korea (i live in korea), but you might want to find the server near to your location or promoted by your isp

Dns error

DNS = Domain Name Server

This is a set of specialized servers on the Internet, needed to
translate user friendly internet address such as:

www.microsoft.com

into their binary IP address equivalents, such as:

www.microsoft.com =
207.46.192.254 = (IP address)
$CF 2E C0 FE = (hexadecimal)
1100 1111 0010 1110 1100 0000 1111 1110 (binary)

In order to communicate with Microsoft, your computer
first sends a request to the closest DNS server to resolve
the domain name into a binary address. Once it gets the
binary address of Microsoft, in then prefixes every packet
with a 32-bit destination address, followed by it own 32-bit
return address.

Other specialized computers on the Internet, called routers,
than manage the actual data transfers on a skip by skip basis.

===========

A DNS error means that your computer is either unable to reach
the pre-determined DNS server, or the server is unable to resolve
the particular address due to a non-existent WEB site or a
spelling mistake.

The actual meaning of the message depends on which layer
of the internet protocol in your computer, (or outside of it)
generated it.

Martin.
