1 Answer

NO SIGNAL My samsung sgh-p107 recognizes the sim card inserted BUT there is NO SIGNAL - hence, cannot use the phone with the sim card. The phone was originally bought in the US (cingular) but when my sister visited us in south east asia she left it behind as a gift.

Hi!... That's the common problems of US phones sent to SEAsia 'coz they have different frequencies... Some Nokia-US phones are easily converted by technicians especially in the Philippines... I dont know with Samsung... I have my collection of of US phones that are useless because of the frequency problem....

SGH A817 to t-mobile

Yes, on an unlocked phone you can easily switch SIM cards. All you can do is put the T-Mobile SIM card in the phone and it should show signal bars on the top of the phone. If not you can call up T-Mobile and ask them for correct network settings and they should be able to help you out with this.

If the phone is not unlocked it wont work with any other sim card except the original carrier SIM card. In this case you first need to unlock it.

I am posting the link below incase you need unlock code for your device:

Samsung sgh-m200 has no network

No Network error only appear if your phone is not getting the service provider's signal. You need to check the status of your account from your mobile service provider by calling them. You can also check if the sim is properly inserted. You can also check the capability of using compatible sim card to your phone to isolate faulty sim card issues. Try to insert the sim card to another compatible phone as well. if sim card to another compatible phone works then there is a problem from your phone's end by getting a signal.

I was messing with my phone and now it keeps asking for a puk code. I don't know what to do.

PUK stands for Personal Unblocking Key. This is a unique eight digit code specific to your SIM card. Please click on this link for further details :-

IT SAY SIM LOCK AND ASKING THE CODE

This may not work on all Samsung phones!
THIS IS THE TEMP UNLOCK CODE FOR A SAMSUNG PHONE
Do this at your own risk:
Instructions
Press *#06# and write down your IMEI
Unlock Codes
Code 1: *2767*688 then your IMEI and then press #
For example *2767*688352708000828246# (Everything before the / for C225)
Code 2: *0141#
Code 3: 00000000 (8 zero's)
Entering the Codes
1. Switch your phone off. Remove the original SIM card 2. Insert another SIM card from an alternative network. Power up your phone. You should now see the "Wrong Card" message. 3. Type Code 1 into your phone, if this is entered correctly your
phone screen should now turn black and reboot itself. (C225 doesn't go
black but does reboot) 4. After the phone reboots the SIM card will be recognized and your
SIM will work. Be patient while your phone reboots and DO NOT press
any keys. At this point the phone is "Temporarily" unlocked.
5. Now at your idle screen type in Code 2 (*0141#) and hit the call button.
This should give you a message saying the phone is "Personalized". 6. Power off the phone and insert the original SIM, then power up. 7. At the SIM code prompt, it will ask you to enter a password. At
this stage enter Code 3. 8. After entering hit "OK" and your phone should complete initialization.

[/b]Instructions[/b]
Press *#06# and write down your IMEI
Unlock Codes
Code 1: *2767*688 then your IMEI and then press #
For example *2767*688352708000828246# (Everything before the / for C225)
Code 2: *0141#
Code 3: 00000000 (8 zero's)
Entering the Codes
1. Switch your phone off. Remove the original SIM card 2. Insert another SIM card from an alternative network. Power up your
phone. You should now see the "Wrong Card" message. 3. Type Code 1 into your phone, if this is entered correctly your

7. At the SIM code prompt, it will ask you to enter a password. At
this stage enter Code 3.

8. After entering hit "OK" and your phone should complete initialization.

Your phone is now Permanently unlocked.

Another easy way is you put in a foreign sim put in the code *2767*2878# much easier and works just the same.

*2767*688 <your IMEI number>
