BAD BAD BAD advise...a residential refrigerator older than 15 years uses r12 running at about 0- 2 psi of back pressure. A newer refrigerator running on 134a should run in a vacume -6psi for back pressure. Under no circumstances should you go into the sealed system. If there is a sealed system problem adding refrigerant will not fix it. Adding too much refrigerant will ruin the compressor...
