Rear hydraulics on my ford 4100 keeps moving-either up or down. does not stay where i want it. Is this operator error or is there something wrong with the tractor?


possible the float control of the hydraulics
that allows what ever is attached to maintain a ride height and not dig in when the front of the tractor go over a rise or to cut/dig light when the front goes into a dip
if you operators manual doesn't show it or you don't have such a manual, ask the local ford tractor agent

Fuel gauge goes down at stop but rises again when accelerating.


Needle should move a little bit upon stop/go.If it is a lot would have to say it is the potentiometer in the sending unit fuel pump.

How do i adjust clutch travel on a 1988 ford bronco II. I am a big person and can't push the clutch all the way down. When my wife drives it, it's fine...shifts and everything effortlessly


Kinda sounds like you might be pushing on the brake at the same time since they are close together. If it is working fine for her i would move my foot over just a bit. There are no adjustments since they have a hydraulic system, just make sure the fluid is up in the resevoir it is located on the drivers side under the hood back by the firewall to the right hand side of the brake booster, it is plastic and round with a cap on it, you will be able to see fluid through it should be approx half way..

Something broke. Hope your warrenty still covers it since your going to need a diag and a dealer part. Its your only option

Ford F-250 Clutch Fluid resevoir location?


There will be a little black resevoir to the right of the brake master cylinder. Its mounted to the firewall. When filling or topping off the fluid, make sure you remove the black rubber boot after the cap is removed. The resevoir itself will only hold a little fluid. Hope this helps you. 1996 Audi A4. On a very cold morning the power steering fluid overflows from the resevoir.


Check up the hydraulic power steering pump.
See picture below for 1.6, 1.8 liters Audi (4 cyl.) engines:

If you find leaks and noise when runing, the hydraulic vane type pump is damaged. The pump **** air inside and mix air with oil resulting foam. Therefore fluid volume inside steering instalation rises. Then pressure overflows oil from the reservoir. You need repair or replace hydraulic vane type steering pump.

raise front loader....loosen hyd. line a little lower loader till all air is released and only fluid is coming out and retighten.....its like bleedig brakes on a car

1994 Ford Probe takes 2-3 seconds to move


Bad News, your hydraulic pump on your transmission is wearing out. The only solution is a overhaul. I have a Subaru in the same condition, if you can live with it, do it. Just in case check the transmission fluid level.

Top won't go all the way up.


I had the same problem. One day I opened the hydraulic resevoir under the spare tire to check the level of the hydraulic fluid and voila' the top started to work fine. It opened and closed perfectly. It has worked fine now since July. The only thing I did was open the resevoir. Perhaps there was some kind of air block!
