Question about GE 98566 98566 wireless optical mini mouse
Windows 7, my operating system, indicates that the mouse is detected. But when I move the mouse the mouse cursor does not respond. The USB key is plugged into a USB port and the underside red mouse laser used for motion detection is on.
The battery in the mouse makes the red light come on, not the operating system.
Look in Device manager, find the mouse, uninstall the drivers, scan for new devices, re-install the drivers.
Otherwise look for new drivers on manufacturers site.
